Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not worth the hype. Staff was very desinterested and the food was just okay. Good that the prices have been that affordable.

Nice casual place, most of it in the open two terraces. Yummy, big portion and very affordable. Service is also nice, overall very happy we stopped by! 👍🏼

Lovely place to eat nice food. Was too hot at lunchtime for a big meal so settled on fried potatoes and spring rolls. The iced Lemon tea was so refreshing

I had dinner here three times over my 10 night stay in Chiang Mai. The khao Soi was very good, pad Thai slightly below average, and the MASSIVE fried fish was one of the best I had in Thailand. They have a very large menu...and prices are good. The staff are okay, professional at best but not as attentive as other places I've been to. Nonetheless it's location in Old Town is perfect with a steady stream of tourists that keep them going. Yep, definitely recommended.More

Our hotel “the Opium” recommended this one and we have already been back again! The food is gorgeous Thai food - and really generous portions. Probably the best spring rolls I’ve ever tasted. Unbelievably good value! Really enjoyed everything we all ordered.

Beautiful food and dirt cheap! 2 dishes, sides, an extra side and 2 drinks only worked out around £7/8 total. Definitely worth visiting, lovely homemade food.

Came here through reccommendation and it didn’t disappoint. The food was absolutely incredible and I definitely recommend the chicken tempura and the chicken khao soi. The smoothies and lemon teas are also incredible. Even though I was only in chiang Mai for 3 nights I...had to eat here twice because it was so goodMore

We visited due to the positive reviews but u don’t understand the hype. Staff looked disinterested and the food was lacking in flavour. We ordered a few mains to share and all of it was just ok. I’d say this was the most disappointing meal...we had in Chiang Mai.More

Walking past this restaurant which was very busy so thought we’d give it a try. The food was lovely. Husband is a very fussy eater and he raved about it too. Not expensive - would highly recommend.

Having visited this restaurant many times in the past 12 years, I suggested it to my friend who'd never visited before. I've given 3 stars because half of the meal was good! We ordered a Som Tam, prawn Penang curry and vegetarian red curry, all...medium spice. The som tam was good, appropriately spiced, although a little lacking in the sour taste associated with the dish. The prawn Penang was also very flavoursome, but had no spice to it at all. The red, firstly came out looking and tasting like buttermilk. We mentioned this to the server who took it away and brought back the exact same dish with some added salt/fish sauce/msg? It was disgusting and inedible. Not wanting to make a fuss for a 2nd time we decided to cut our losses, paid the bill and left. In 15 years of visiting Thailand and in excess of 20 visits to Chiang Mai, I've never left a restaurant hungry. Very disappointed and won't be returning, which is a shame given my fond memories of this place over the years!!More

Despite some negative feedback I had a very good experience here. Maybe it was because it was a Buddha day with no alcohol but it was not too busy, the food was good and very cheap and the staff friendly

No frills restaurant with great food and great prices. But sure to get there well in advance. It's very popular and you have to queue for a table. But it's worth it.
