Elements Resort where we were staying, recommended Nuch Green Talay. It's a great place for authentic Thai food. The owner recommended Fried Fish with tamarin sauce, Green curry with duck & Tom yam soup. It was very good. We also ordered Stir fry morning glory, Glass noodle salad with prawns & cuttlefish. We are returning tonight to Nuch Green Talay.

We visited the "Green Ta'Lay" Restaurant recently and enjoyed great service, very good prices on both food and beverages, and tasty authentic thai food. We especially enjoyed the green thai curry and baked/steamed whole fish (our group tried both). The lift 'home' to our resort by the owner's husband was the icing on the cake of a very enjoyable night... More

We were taken to this restaurant from Elements hotel where we were staying for the week. There is a reciprocal arrangement hotel drops you off, restaurant takes you back! On our first visit we had tempura prawns - not strictly tempura - more breadcrumbs but they were so meaty and tasty I'm not going to quibble over a word! We... More

We were a group of about 18 people. The restaurant wasn’t full (apart from 2 others we were the only ones in the restaurant) however it took an hour to get our order. By then we were ordering 2 drinks each at a time to ensure we didn’t have to wait for our next drink order. When the food eventually... More

As an owner of a business I have only made a response to a critical review one other time and only when the review is clearly fraudulent. I would like to think that there would not be people out there that would deliberately write fraudulent reviews about an establishment but I guess it happens hence this response. Only once in... One visit was not enough, we returned to this little gem of a restaurant a few times. It is a friendly, family run restaurant on the Southwest side of the island serving excellent authentic Thai food, full of subtly blended flavours. The owner is an unassuming chef (I would say a Masterchef) who is passionate about cooking. We particularly enjoyed... More

We ate here in August 2011. The food, including the green curry, was excellent. At our table, I had the green curry with prawn, one of our other companions had it with the chicken. Both were delicious. I had low expectations when we ordered the tamarind fish (I think it was snapper) but it too was excellent, and I am... More

We went to this restaurant as a result of the fave reviews it had received on this website. We were a large group of 6 and we were very impressed by all of the choices we made on the menu....we even ordered the green curry twice it was that good. The tempura prawns and the steamed fish in ginger sauce... More

My partner and I stumbled across this delightful Thai restaurant during our second week of our stay and it was a really wonderful surprise. The food was exquisite and the hospitality from the beautiful waitress and the charming owner David was truly spectacular! The Shrimp tempura was amazing as was the shrimp with glass noodles; whilst my partner enjoyed a... More

My gf and I were staying in the BoPhut area but after reading some reviews on this restaurant we decided to rent a scooter and ride around the island, first for some sight seeing and also as this restaurant as our destination. We arrived quite suntanned as the ride is fairly long (we don't normally ride). But what a surprise... More

Searched on TA for authentic, good Thai food on Koh Samui and found Green Talay. We weren't disappointed. Excellent vegetarian green curry, great fish and salads, fresh juices. All you can ask for. The (American) owner stopped by for a nice chat and to recommend dishes. All in all a very pleasant Thai dining experience in a quiet surrounding, far... More
