We went here after a recommendation from a friend expecting a simple dish of pork wonton noodle soup. What we got was a complex dish of flavour involving thinly sliced pork cooked to perfection, tiny pieces of pork fat (although they didnt put this in on our second visit disappointingly), beautiful wontons and much more in the most perfect broth... Came here under the recommendation of TripAdvisor. Ordered the dried version as per my home country Singapore. Noodles wise is slightly better than Singapore because they used "some" duck eggs to produce the Chinese egg noodles. I used the word "some" because there is one better noodle shop ( Chu Dac ) in HCMC which used more duck eggs to... More

Been travelling Vietnam for about a month now. We were staying in a hotel a few doors down and asked the owner for a recommendation. This was the place they recommended and said everything here is delicious. Indeed it was super fantastic. If you look at my picture of the menu, we had the first option "pork noodle soup" and... I got recommandation of this place from a local Vietnamese woman and it was perfect. I didn't expect much for a noodle soup and it suprised me. wow.! We ordered -MI HOANH THANH LON -(noodle soup with pork, 40000dong) and -BANH BAO-(it's like rice a bread? dumpling? with chopped pork inside. 15000dong) Both were so good and very fulling. The... Good wanton noodles, very different from usual vietnamese wanton soups. This one is close to the original cantonese wanton noodle soups. But this place doesnt sell a wide range of soups, only some different type of wanton noodle soups. This place is almost a road-side place, not much of indoor seating.

We were there twice during our trip in Da Lat. There is actually just one dish which is soup with wonton. In my opinion very tasty and I had there one of the best meal in that town. Place looks rather like for local people but you can see there foreigners from time to time as well. Good and cheap.... More

This was a famous bistro for local people and now turn to a tourist destination. The meaning of "Tau cao" is about the owner: Chinese - Vietnamese guy and very tall. Come early or late since it become very crowded.

After 6-7 years, I had a chance to try noodles here again. Same taste, same good smell of a hot bowl of Wonton. You have to try this once when you come to Da Lat.

Hint: If you search for this place by using TripAdvisor’s map, take a look at the opposite side of the street! “Tau Cao” is a typical Vietnamese one-dish kitchen with aluminium tables, steaming pots, fresh ingredients and a smiling owner speaking no single English word. However, you don't feel uncomfortable as a foreigner – actually you feel even more welcomed... More

One bowl of wanton noodles is 35000 dong. Quite cheap. Their wanton noodles is the soupy kind. We added the chilli to the soup and it tastes delicious.
