There is nothing special about the food at Al Fresco except that it was a change from the local Vietnamese fare. This was a prepaid luncheon stop organized by our tour group and paid by our tour company so it is very difficult to rate to food as it was below my expectations. The calamari rings were very though and... More

We wanted a change from too much Asian food and sought out this Italian restaurant. We shared a salad and pizza and had house wine.....all very good. Interesting that our tour group later had a scheduled lunch stop at Al Fresco's, but a different location, where we got to experience other things from their menu. Again, all was quite good.

I ordered the lamb burger, was absolutely great. Ordered pizza along with chicken and my son enjoyed it. It is very close by to HSBC and an old church. Very convenient to grab a taxi and head back to hotel. They have alot of branches, even saw one in Aeon Long Bien.

We found this place walking down the road, we had a delicious dinner - seafood spaghetti and a carbonara. The staff were really friendly, always checked we were ok and the price is very very reasonable! We actually came back the following day for lunch before we left Hanoi

This restaurant is centrally located, in the Old Quarter, just around the corner from Hanoi Cathedral - western themed offering steaks, pizzas, ribs and barbecue meals. We fancied a barbecue style meal and the barbecue sharing platter seemed to meet all our requirements. The waiter suggested a salad and the recommended salad was superb - a delicious mix of orange,... More

I was disappointed with this restaurant because we were 3 adults, and the idea of being surrounded by lots of kids in a restaurant with large portions of average tasting food was not our idea of an interesting dinner. If you are a family with kids, this is probably a good place, but for adults, not so much.

This is not a European influenced restaurant, but the service is good and the more us/aussie style of pizza seem to please patrons there. Good ambiance and good service, as part of a group of restaurant te standards are high and training probably better.

Well, pizza SOUNDED like a good idea after three weeks in Southeast Asia. The pizza was mediocre at best with an indistinguishable tomato sauce and dull crust. And the salad was swimming in four times the dressing it needed. Midway through the pizza, they finally brought the water we ordered . . . and they brought glasses of water, not... More

For me this place is a good choice to get western food for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is located near the lake. Many western restaurants in Hanoi are far too expensive for what they offer and Al Fresco offers a fair deal.
