make sure you know what to order before you get to the counter, otherwise the boss won't give you a nice smiling face, yet locals are usually quite friendly and will recommend you something nice! most people would order one Pho with fritters, and it's just about everyone would do that, so make sure you order both, it's 5000d a... Trip to Vietnam is not complete until you have Pho. The beef pho here is soft and soothing. The broth is well seasoned and it is very filling.

At first glance, if you're not used to the different places to eat in Vietnam, you will want to turn around the leave. The line is long, there'll seem to be no place to sit, and not sure about the towel hanging next to the meat to try the knife....but the pho was amazing!! As soon as two seats were... More

If you're a Pho fan you absolutely must visit Pho Gia Truyen. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike and for good reason, it's freaking awesome! We went for breakfast, and I arrived at about 8AM. I recommend getting there early, as the line gets long very fast. I'm not sure exactly which bowl I ordered as the... More

Really delicious! The broth is what makes it, super flavorful. Plenty of meat makes for a decent overall serving. There was a queue of about 15 people when we turned up and we were seated and eating within 10 minutes.

This was the best Pho I've ever had. On TripAdvisor there is a duplicate listing under Pho Bat Dan, but it's the same 49 Bat Dan address.

we were looking forward to returning here after many years - disappointed that the beef briskets which used to hang over the cooking area are now stashed away in a glass fridge at the rear - delighted that the pho remains wonderful and grateful that we got the fatty brisket. This time we added a raw egg (5000 dong extra)... More

We really enjoyed Pho Gia True and it became one of our favorite spots for Pho in Hanoi. Love that you can add an egg. The broth was very flavorful and even though there was a decent sized line, it went by quick. Would highly recommend it to anyone in Hanoi.

No BS kind of place. No more than 3 choices of Pho here... line out the "door" with locals and tourists. You'll order, find a seat if u can and grab ur bowl and sit amongst strangers all slurping and eating joyfully. Limes and chilis avail in Middle of table. Be weary of the red chilis... they do their job!... More
