Very cool experience. You don't get to order yourself, they only do beef pho, and they do it so good it's probably why it's the only thing on the menu! You also get these fried bread sticks, which I fell in love with and is something different from back home in Aus. If you want traditional, tasty pho then this... More

We were told that locals would start queueing from 6 am. We got there around 6:30 to find over 50+ locals. The soup was amazing, just as described by our local friends. Would highly recommend. Not to miss in Hanoi for sure!!!

Recommended by all the online blogs and videos, Pho Gia Truyen is a definite must for anyone travelling to Hanoi. The flavour of the broth cannot be compared to anything that I have had before (and I have had my fare share of Pho Bo). It's a quick paced restaurant so don't expect 5/5 service but expect a 5/5 meal.

Phở Gia Truyền stood out to me because it was fairly crowded with locals. It did not disappoint! There were so many slices of lean (yes) beef (YESSS) in my Pho Chin (40,000 VND) & the soup was flavourful. So delighted with this find! Unfortunately, on my last day I walked here at 11AM only to find they weren't open... More

make sure you know what to order before you get to the counter, otherwise the boss won't give you a nice smiling face, yet locals are usually quite friendly and will recommend you something nice! most people would order one Pho with fritters, and it's just about everyone would do that, so make sure you order both, it's 5000d a... Trip to Vietnam is not complete until you have Pho. The beef pho here is soft and soothing. The broth is well seasoned and it is very filling.

At first glance, if you're not used to the different places to eat in Vietnam, you will want to turn around the leave. The line is long, there'll seem to be no place to sit, and not sure about the towel hanging next to the meat to try the knife....but the pho was amazing!! As soon as two seats were... More

If you're a Pho fan you absolutely must visit Pho Gia Truyen. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike and for good reason, it's freaking awesome! We went for breakfast, and I arrived at about 8AM. I recommend getting there early, as the line gets long very fast. I'm not sure exactly which bowl I ordered as the... More
