Really enjoyed meals we had at this restaurant during our stay at the hotel. Excellent ambience, service and menu to choose from. One of the highlights of our stay in Hanoi. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to even the fussiest of diner. Thanks to all for their attentive service and the high level of hospitality and friendship making our... More

Picked this restaurant from reviews on Tripadvisor and it lived up to past reviews. Food is very good and staff work hard at satisfying customers. Of course it's more expensive than the local restaurants but not unreasonable for the nice dining experience you can have.

Visited this restaurant based on the excellent reviews. The best feature of the restaurant is the excellent service - staff were very attentive to our needs. The food was good, but very pricey and not much more impressive (other than the presentation) than what we have had in most decent restaurants elsewhere but for half the price. My conclusion is... If you want a break from street food come here. Restaurant is elegantly appointed with great enclosed rooftop views (lots of continuous windows). Staff was very polite and helpful. I ordered cashew chicken, which came with a small portion of rice and a small bowl of sweet and sour soup. Everything was delicious. The chicken had various subtle flavors which... More

This restaurant truly lives up to its name. As guests of the hotel we have breakfast here every morning. Lunch or dinner or something else. The place has a dozen chefs! Food is art, an expression of the Vietnamese soul. But for people who stay in Hanoi for quite some time and crave western food - this is the place... More

The way we rank restaurants is simple: memory. After spending a week touring Hanoi's restaurants, where do we have the best memories we both agreed on the gourmet corner. We spend Christmas lunch there. Our ranking involves food quality, presentation, service, atmosphere and price There was some real research in the food. There was some discrete refinement added to traditional... More

We went there the night we arrived in Hanoi and it was the best meal we had over the five days even though we tried hard to find good places to eat. Everything was really good from the spring rolls to the salads to the bamboo beef. The drinks were really good and the service was excellent.

Located on the roof of a small building. The food was awesome and the presentation even better. Service was stellar. Good value for a higher end restaurant.

Located on the top floor of Hanoi La Siesta Diamond hotel, the Gourmet Corner restaurant boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients.
