Traditional Vietnamese food in a restored ancient house, built in the 19th century. The call themselves the "soul of Hanoi's old quarter." Lovely artifacts throughout.

Our hotel recommended a spot across the road but it was packed out so we tried 69 B&R as it was also mentioned by our guide book. Liked the restaurant - food was pretty good (had some appetisers followed by a sort of hot pot and a curry), very nice surrounds with brick walls, etc, good atmosphere, staff helpful, etc..... More

Go to the 2nd floor and take the balcony table for dinner. The street below is busy all the time, so one can get good Vietnamese food and get the feeling of surroundings! Not very high-style, but tasty food in acceptable prices. Nice atmosphere and friendly Staff!

recently went to this restaurant for a late dinner. It is a nice, renovated shophouse on a very busy street. The menu was limited but had a nice selection of vietnamese dishes. The quality of the food was good, the service friendly and efficient, and the restaurant a quiet contrast to all the outdoor places on the street.

good food, not expensive and a great atmosphere. Ma May street has many great places but this one is somewhat hyped.

It is the first time i have been in Hanoi and i had a perfect night at 69 bar - cafe - restaurant. and i see that staffs at this restaurant are very friendly and they always smile. besides, i like "Lemongrass fish skewers" so much - it is the best food i have eaten.

We ate here on our first night in Vietnam. The menu sounded nice, the restaurant had a nice feel to it and the service was friendly. However, the food was very underwhelming. New Day across the street was in a totally different league.

We ate here twice in our 4 days in Hanoi. The place is charming: a traditional old quarter house with an inner courtyard. The food was really good Vietnamese cuisine. Excellent spring rolls - fresh and fried, prawns in black pepper, and fish in lemon sauce. Lovely staff. A great place

Situated in the old quarter, it was very near our hotel. It is a restored Vietnamese house - quite charming and there is a variety of dishes to choose from . Very good value

Had eaten here on three previous visits to Hanoi (2006, 2007, 2012) and been pleased. But this time around it was a bit of a let-down. Nothing the four of us had was bad, but nothing was especially excellent either. My banana flower salad with chicken was the least inspiring version I've had in multiple orders in Thailand, Laos and... More
