the indian food here is excellent! i had low expectations being in Vietnam (for Indian food), but trusted the reviews on here and was very pleased. extremely good prices too - this was just as good (if not better) than the vast majority of indian food in the states, but much cheaper. definitely worthwhile if you are in the area... Fast and attentive service, great atmosphere, and the best indian food in Vietnam. You can request what level of spice you like and food tastes fresh and very flavourful. It's just simple, easy and delicious!

We ate here twice in our 4 days in HCMC. The portions are filling, the food was best Indian in Vietnam and the restaurant was always busy. The staff were attentive and cheerful!

After two weeks of (delicious) Vietnamese food, we were eager to get some Indian food. We ended up in Baba's Kitchen located in the heart of Bui Vien (backpacker street). Although the atmosphere is a bit chaotic, you can really enjoy the authentic Indian dishes!

Mostly Indian staff so the food is authentic! It was my first time eating Indian food so while I can't remember the dishes - I remember eating everything! We ordered quite a few dishes but the bill was a fraction of what I had expected it to be! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Very professional.

Really good restaurant! The most impressive about it was the service: very attentive staff, they advised us really good, the dishes had the perfect spicyness and we got free water all the time plus a delicious little desert. Couldn't be better! The dishes we had were really good, only the paneer was a bit stale. We didn't like the lassi... More

Satisfied my craving for Indian! Delicious food and lovely service. Would recommend the garlic naan and aloo gobi. Had lots of vegetarian options and loved the addition of the sauces on the side. We got rice pudding free for desert.

2.5/5 Tried the chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and lamb roganjosh. Although the meat was tender, all three tasted one dimensional and lacked the depth of flavour I've enjoyed at many other Indian restaurants. The naan was thin and crispy and it was probably the worst naan I've tasted. Rounded my review down to 2 given the high ratings they've... More

Hi, I'm Robin, the manager of Baba's Kitchen. I'm sorry to learn of your disappoint and also a bit surprised. We use five different curry bases and the three curries you mention have different bases, so I would expect them to taste different. All of our chefs are from India, and we are proud that so many reviews state that... More
