A street food Michelin Star restaurant. What a gem we found searching for the best Snail place in Ho Chi Minh. Oc Dao was so delicious that we wanted to order everything. The staff were very fast and attentive. They also have an inside sitting...area so you don’t have to sit In the street to enjoy the food.More

It is one of the most popular snails seafood in saigon. Perhaps they take it for granted and do not care about service. It is super noisy place that you barely have a conversation with your friend. Its a shame as food is very tasty...For vietnam living cost, price is quite priceyMore

Great food, but the service is as expected. Vietnamese standard. Make sure you order all your food at once because they do forget.

This place is like a large carport party. Heaps of people but service is relatively quick considering the amount of people. Food is ok. Definitely on a must try list.

It’s a truly authentic Vietnamese seafood restaurant. Almost all customers are local, no reservation is required. The dishes are generally tasty, yet a bit oily, even the vegetables are fried in pork oil or butter. However, the seafood are all cooked and rest aside. When...you order your food and decide how you like it, they will use the cooked seafood to fry or recook. It’s a bit different with my imagination of fresh seafood. But it’s an interesting experience. I recommend the crabs and clams in winter season.More

My fiance really wanted to try snails while in Vietnam, so we looked this place up and decided to try it out. We knew we were in for something good when the cab driver couldn't figure out how to get us there and we had...to walk through some alley's to find it. It was also the only place in Vietnam where I had to use Google Translate, even though our waiter was a young guy. This made me feel that we had a pretty authentic experience. The food was great, the service was super friendly, and Julie was happy.More

If you looking for that "local experience," look no further than here! Great variety, great value and great buzz...... Be prepared for a huge audience of 400-500 diners at any meal time. Somehow, the service keeps up! Give it a try!

Lived up to all the hype. Really enjoyable. Wish I had time to go again. I don’t think this page needs my review, mainly here as a marker for next time we visit.

The food there is fabulous! The seafood are nicely grilled with different kinds of sauce, we can’t help ourselves in ordering loaf of bread to finish the sauce!

I stayed at Christina's Saigon a few minutes' walk away and naturally I wanted to try out the famous Oc Dao. It was my first night in Hcm, and I was a solo Asian female, who doesn't speak Vietnamese, venturing into local territory during peak...dinner time of 7.30pm, with a few nagging doubts, "Will I be turned away as a solo diner? Will I get stared at if I order beer? Will I be overcharged? Will I get traveller's belly the morning after?" The verdict: I was needlessly worried. Oc Dao was a fantastic experience! I just ventured in, past the kitchen grills, and I got a table within 2 minutes. Menu with pictures (some with prices) was given, and I pointed to the seafood I wanted to try. I wanted a Larue and no eyebrows was raised as a nice chilled glass appearedwith the beer opened before me. I predominantly wanted seafood so I didn't bother with the rice or vegetables, but a crusty French baguette appeared and luckily it did as I used it to mop all the sauces. 4 dishes were ordered (think tapas sized) and I ate all of them. I ordered their signature oc len (sea snails in a sweet rich coconut broth), their bbq prawns, cockles in an addictive tamarind sauce stir fried with pork lard, and grilled whelk (Korean golbaengi). Perfect with beer and all seafood was free from grit, so I had a perfect dinner with no tummy issues at all. The cost of all this =316 000 VND. Tip for all= bring your own wet wipes and avoid using the ones set on the table as they will be charged.More
