The young women who work at Lanterns are a pure delight. Always friendly and helpful. If you have to wait a little for your order or check, it's because Lanterns is so (deservedly) popular. If you want to be sure of getting a table, reserve in advance. We had breakfast there a dozen times and always enjoyed it. Great wifi.... More

Dinner was okay, but we went there for the tours. Uncritically they don't run daily tours, so we missed out on those....

Nice small restaurant at the 3rd street in the tourist quarters of Nha Trang city. Food selection is not bad. Staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it is very humid inside.

Stuff were very unfriendly. We ordered set containes fruit salad which we didn't get at all. Also, they promissed 20% discount from 2 pm to 4 pm. We made our order at 2:05 pm and asked for the bill at 2:45 pm. They said no discount because the order was made before 2 pm which is not true. Management was... More

This place is just a tourist trap. My rice noodle rolls were cold and leathery. Clay pot was average at best. I had seen many good reviews online saying that this place was authentic and relatively inexpensive, but I was extremely let down when I visited the location. Not worth the time or money to go here.

We were glad we made a booking at Lanterns via email (responded within minutes) because it was a rainy evening and very busy. Excellent food, great service. Toilets were a bit grotty and being repaired while we were there, possibly not the best time. Also people trying to get out of the rain where waiting close to tables which was... More

The restaurant appears at the higher end of TripAdvisor and in various local papers/maps, so it is a very well-known place. The place is nicely decorated, it is clean and you get good value dishes. Overall a place to go and eat if you spend a couple of days in Nha Trang.

We went here following trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed at all. We lined up for 50 min on a Saturday night due to a large group of people..they were very apologetic for the wait. The wait was worth it, excellent service and delicious food. So good in fact we returned for lunch the next day. Being a lazy... More

We have been operating since 2008 and hold half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience of travelling to the local market, buying food and then preparing 3 dishes as chosen by the guests. We also provide a small recipe book at the completion of the tour, as a memento and keepsake. We are also keen to differentiate ourselves from all the other dining places in Nha Trang and give the customer a unique Vietnamese experience. One area is, we are strongly supporting 12 local orphanages. I spent 2 months travelling through Nha Trang & Vietnam & spent a lot of my time with the children at orphanages. As a result, I am trying to give back to these kids, by teaching them life skills and how the real world operates, outside of the usual visits and photo opportunity. That's where the idea for Lanterns came. We invite kids and their careers to each at least one day per month, but any time they wish to come. We encourage the schools/orphanages to allow the older kids to gain work experience at our place and meet the people who visit Vietnam first hand, in a friendly helpful environment. One thing I am strongly committed to, is making sure the kids are not exploited in any way and nothing is ever done without discussing it & getting approval from the carers involved.
