In a small street, full of restaurants , nearby Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia, we had dinner. A table first floor , open window , nice view on passengers. Very delicious food and wine and also an excellent French Coffee!, ( remarkable in Turkey)

Great food every plate we order was very testy. My favorite casserole seafood. I will recommend to put a bigger sign for trip-advisor on the restaurant. I agreed the reviews that I saw. 100% good service and fabulous good.

The best meze we had during our 4-day visit to Istanbul. Interesting menu, wonderful Turkish/Ottoman selection; helpful and friendly staff. Nice terrace on a quiet side street off busy main road halfway between Hagia Sofia and Grand Bazaar. Would go again in a flash! Highly recommended.

We enjoyed having a meal here mostly because of the quality of customer service. The waiter was very unintrusive, polite and helpful in answering our questions and requests and unlike most vendors in the town, we felt that our space and choices were respected, which in turn, made us feel very relaxed here. If you need a bit of peace... More

I cannot remember the last time a server took such good care of us. My family and I heard about this place from other comments and it lived up to them and then some. The food selection will satisfy anyone and if you like it spicy them James will turn up the heat for you. The price for a family... More

In a fairly quiet side street, just off the main street and tramway which runs from Sultanhamet square, towards the grand bazaar. In an area filled with tourist restaurants this restaurant and its staff go out of their way to provide an enjoyable meal. The food is simple, but well cooked and presented. The service friendly but professional and the... More

Amedros Cafe and Resaurant was one of our first stops in Istanbul. Enver BEYAZYUZ of Mysia Travel Center recommended Amedros to us. My friend and I absentmindedly left our backpacks unattended on the chairs of Amedros outside. We wandered off a bit to take some photos etc. coming back we found one of the staff standing watch over our belongings.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
