The restaurant has a traditional floor sitting on the cushions or normal sitting on the tables with chairs. Food is good and tasty but the restaurant overall is a bit expensive, compare with some other places. Location is prime (between Hagia Sophia and Topkapi) so overall it is worth it. Gozleme (special Turkish pancakes) are made fresh in front of... More

We were invited in by the waiter... 'come in, white wine, red wine, beer'. Having double checked just a beer was ok as we'd already eaten lunch we were assured it was and were shown to a window seat. Our two large beers arrived in small metal.mugs (nowhere near the large beer we paid for!) - presumably to disguise the... More

It was too expensive for what I got and it turned out to be even more expensive than expected, because the waiter had deliberately brought me something different and more expensive than what I ordered

They have a lot of vegetarian food but nothing that would be extra good culinary experience. Too expensive for what you get. However really nice place to relax :)

Was amazed with the setting arrangements as you have the option between the modern tables and chairs or the traditional way of setting on the floor, also the food was tasty loved the lamb donor and the turkish tabooleh

I really liked this restaurant. The food was very tasty and freshly made. The specialty it seems are the crepes (sort of pancakes) with meat and cheese. Very good and they are made directly there by a woman (please think about tipping her if you go). The staff was nice and helpful. The place is super cozy, you sit on... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
