The waiter invited us in our mother tongue and so we decided to take a look at the menu. We weren't disappointed, had grilled calamaris as appetizer and a delicious steak. The service was great. Thanks

Great Food and lovely service worth a visit! The restaurant is down a small street lined with eateries and we ate there twice because the food and the staff were excellent.

Verky welcoming waiter who never disappeared for more than a minute, very humorous. Food was very well cooked and well prepared. Recommend this!

Good friendly service and good food Table on the street to watch the passers by and the traffic trying to negotiate a narrow road. Many deserts from the menu were not available and although we enjoyed everything else we ate I would avoid the baked ice-cream in future

We got lucky when we randomly found this quaint little restaurant in the tour district of Istanbul around lunchtime (across from Sultan Ahmet Mosque and just up from the Basilica Cistern). We enjoyed an ice cold beer upon sitting down, which was accompanied by delicious olives, feta cheese, and a huge, puffy ,fresh-baked pita bread. We ordered the tagine with bulghur... More

An excellent selection of Mediterranean & Turkish foods. The Aubergine kebab was especially delicious.

My wife and I ate here twice recently, just up a side road off the main road, what a gem of a place, food and service was out of this world. Our waitress Nika was so charming she spoke good English and was so helpful. The menu had various choices, steaks, fish, chicken etc, etc. The food was fantastic hot... More

To repeat myself for me it's the best restaurant in Sultanahmet. Even when I don't stay in the neighbourhood I go there for dinner whenever I am in Istanbul. Big variety of meze, kebabs, grilled fish, Ottoman cuisine, good wine selection. Staff attentive, friendly and multi lingual. Atmosphere very nice. Al Fresco as soon it's getting warmer and in the... Great food, reasonable prices and they are not pushy. If you are near Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosqie, seek this restaurant out. Can recommend their Gozleme - yum.

Thank David P

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
