Thank you Ilyas and Faruk for the warm welcome to Anatolian House. I cant stop raving about Ilyas' superb shisha-making skills. It was great going to a restaurant in Istanbul without being hassled!

We ate here on two nights during our stay in Istanbul - we're just sorry we didn't find it sooner! Food was delicious - especially the clay pots, plus there was a nice drinks and shisha selection. A great place to while away a few hours. The setting is comfortable and our waiter, Zeki, was warm and friendly. In fact,... More

We were looking for an authentic Turkish place not too touristy, small and good value. That is exactly what we got at Anatolian house. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly even chatting and joking around with us. As per other restaurants in Istanbul, you are invited in from the street but I didn't mind the... The restaurant is located on a busy touristy street. We came here in a Friday evening, in June, so the street was packed with people. There are comfy armchairs on the terrace and if you like to watch the people passing by, this is the place for you. There is a bunch of restaurants on this area and each one... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it is still our favourite. Excellent food and drink, with additional attention and interesting entertainment . I would seriously recommend eating and spending the evening here.

The only ones in the street not being pushy. They turned on a heater for us, gaves us blankets for our legs and recommended a beautiful wine. We could not have been happier with the food and the service.

There's a lot of restaurant on the street, you choosed that one due to the guy's propaganda. The expectations weren't too high but it exceeded! Really good food, environment and really thoughtful people!! Even in winter the ambiance is lovely!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
