Went there, as friends wanted to go up to Galatatower, while waiting we had tea and some sweets which was delicious. The guys are like bees very fast in service and helpful with the Wifi. Even many locals visit this place, half touristic half not! Like it!

Excellent service, very kind staff and. Ice ambiance. Although the food was average. The omelette was not cooked enough, the pancakes very "bready"

We went here just by chance to have some breakfast before going sight seeing and we were really positively surprised by the excellent service and the best omelet and menemens we ever had. The atmosphere is also great and we were so excited about the place, that we came here for breakfast again the next day all the way from... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this place, considering that it is right next to the Galata Tower and jam-packed with tourists. The mezes were good, but the stars of the show were the mains of sautéed shrimp in a buttery tomato sauce and the Ali Nazik, a kebab served over pureed, grilled eggplant. My mouth is watering just thinking about... More

We had a very good dinner outside under the heaters. Good location and prices. They serve Guinness. Very Turkish setting.

Very delicious food. Everything we ordered was good and served nicely. I will come here again. I've been in Istanbul for four months. And this is one of the best places I've eaten in. Thank you very much

We were looking for a restaurant for dinner and drinks in the Beyoglu area. After at least an hour of walking around, we stumbled into Guney. It was one of the very few restos with a decent amount of people dining in it. A good place to hang out with friends, while enjoying the view of the Galata Tower. Moroccan... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
