All the dishes they serve are excellent and above. A bit expensive, but definitely worth it. Small and friendly yet hard to find.

Great service, decor, food! The one downtown has a distinct almost Manhattan upper Eastside style; however this one is much more rustic decor but the food quality ad service are equally very good!

If you would like to taste different type of food of Turkish Cuisine, Hunkar is one of the best place for it. They have very good assortment. The quality of the food is pretty high. Service is great. Very clean. Reasonable price.

Traditional Turkish food, meats and vegetables are great. Try the specials Hunkar Begendi and Kaymakli Ekmek Kadayif. Might be a little pricey than a local restaurant but worth a visit.

Always eat here when I am around. Food is traditional and always tasty. Servide is also fast and friendly. however when I visited today I found it very expensive. I had eggplant and Rize, my son had 1,5 portion of beans over Rize and yoğurt. ı ended up paying 53 tl which is too much.

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
