We really loved the location being a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Very nice staff but struggled at times with English. We had a Superior room and I would suggest going for the upgrade for the room size and views

Go in the evening and watch the sun set. This great rooftop restaurant gives you views of Asia and Europe as the sun goes down. Their kitchen specialities (fire baked casseroles) turned out to be among the best dishes we ate in our entire holiday. Five stars, no problem.

I gave it the best rating because of its spectacular panoramic view. It overlooks the whole city: Sultanahmet with its beautiful historical places such as Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Karakoy, Bosfor etc. Beside the view, the restaurant offers you a good service and tasty food. The food is both local and international (with a specific touch of orient).... More

It is centrally located in Sultan Ahmet. Walk everywhere to see all historical sites, and even to Galata Bridge. We walk to Kumkapi for seafood. Staff are so nice and extremely helpful. Eat locally and it's great. Hotel is clean, has everything you need. Though room is small but it's big enough. Bathroom makes sense, hot strong water, and very... More

During our stay this time we had dinner at the Adamar. The restaurant offers a magnificent view of the Aya Sofya and Blue Mosque, as well as the Bosphorus. You will appreciate the sensation even more when you manage to get a table at the window (the windows can be opened). Staff is very friendly and professional. You will be... More

Luckily the food is good and well priced which makes the views, which are to die for, all the more attractive. I was here in 2013 and returned on a cruise stopover earlier in October 2015. My favourite city. Great restaurant for lunch.

I stayed here on my recent trip to Istanbul... wow, not only is the location perfect but the staff are fabulous and the roof top dining cannot compare, you have a 360 degree view of all the sites light up at night. I cannot wait to return, what a friendly city, the food is excellent and the shopping terrific!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
