This place is fantastic. The food is great, a Lebanese version of the Turkish Breakfast. Very authentic and delicious -- bring a big appetite! The only downside is that you have to order the full breakfast for the whole party so if one person wants something else, that won't work.

As vegetarians who struggle a bit with gluten, we had some anxiety about meals in Istanbul. After reading reviews, we chose Arada Cafe. We had to wait around 30 minutes for our table to be ready (did not make a reservation, not sure if they take them). Definitely worth the wait. They require that patrons order the standard breakfast, with the option of adding items. It included all the must haves, with delicious bread (yes, we had gluten, and it was worth it!) The only add on we purchased was Turkish coffee, as endless tea refills were included. In all, we paid $24USD for a lovely meal with great ambience. Highly recommended!

The first time we ate at Arada with my Arabic friend and she is a frequent traveler to Lebanon so she was extremely excited to try the food. I've chosen this place based on Google reviews. My friend was very disappointed, she didn't eat the food she ordered. I asked for the breakfast plate I asked the waiter to replace the non-vegan mezze with anything which is vegan, it did not happen they served me the same plate. Every time a new waiter showed up at our table. This is because the staff extremely exhausted I see they work hard but in the meantime, they are extremely rude to compare to other restaurants in Istanbul. I'm coming to Turkey for 10 years but such a bad serving I never experienced, none of them smiling. In the end, my friend started to speak Arabic with the waiter and then they changed their mood... (!!!) She asked them why the food is so bad he said it's because they had a problem in the kitchen today mmm The price was higher than on the menu, my friend asked them why they charge more, and then they told us the menu is an old one and we have to scan the QR code. But why do we have to find out after finishing the food? It's really not about the price anyway it's cheaper than in the US or in Europe, we just want to have nice food and spend quality time together. I came back to Istanbul alone and I wished to eat falafel, and I also wanted to give another try to this place just wanna know why people like this place. I ate a cheap falafel at Taksim but the taste beat the Arada's falafel. I went back to Arada and the line was outside I had no time for waiting to get a table. I went back the next day and it was the same situation and the same employee told me to wait 5 minutes but he gave the table to people who arrived after me. When I asked him when I will get a table he looked at me like he never saw me before and tried to play and asked my name. If he needs my name why he didn't ask for the first time why he told me to wait only 5 minutes. I saw he gave the table to everyone so I told him I will take away the food. I went to the bar and everyone looked at me with angry eyes. There is no help from anyone only one guy came to me and told me about the QR code and he showed me the menu but the loading was so slow that I asked the guy to give me a table he said go sit where you sit now. Oh but that's the bar and all the waiters come and go, make the payments and all these things such a stressful area. I'm not going to eat at a restaurant to have stress and feel bad! Anyway, the full place has bad energy the people waiting in line and watching those who sitting and eating. Many people at the table just chatting and they don't care that others are waiting. The workers can consider and change professions because I'm not going to eat outside to see stressful, angry, and rude waiters.

I went their on august 20 with my mom, i was very excited to try it after seeing their insta page and rates on social media. Anw, they weren't that welcoming, after we sat down, the waiter immediately offered us to order their breakfast without even seeing the menu! Anw we ordered it, I can't deny that the taste of food is really good, but the quantity was very little. I mean in the hommos tiny ball (for exp) they put like 1 tsp only! Also , the breakfast come with eggs and jam, which they didn't put it and when I asked for it , the waiter/waitress told me they are not understanding what i sam saying! I was really sad about this service, although I am from beirut and I was hoping for a better service! Hope they can fix these prob!

The tables and chairs are lovely, but that is where the positives end. The artificial stucco walls (trying to imitate Chefchaouen? I thought this was a Lebanese restaurant) and downstairs "gift shop" section are cheesy, but the real tragedy is everything else: bad food, poor service, and ridiculously inflated prices. The potatoes were clearly microwaved (after being previously fried and probably then frozen) into an unappetizing mush. No one wants to pay 100 TL to eat microwaved leftovers! If an establishment doesn't serve fresh food, that should be reflected in the prices. However, the prices are about 4 times higher than places with similar (albeit much tastier than Arada, to be honest) Middle Eastern cuisine themes. The falafels were similarly over-fried to the point that they were dry. Most likely, they had also been previously cooked, frozen or refrigerated, then re-fried. These kinds of shortcuts you'd expect from a busy, cheap student cafeteria with low-grade fast food, not a formal (and nearly empty at the time we came) restaurant. The humus was decent, except the portion provided was minuscule, to say the least. None of the staff were properly masked. The servers were all extremely unprofressional, generally just huddled together, chatting, in one part of the room, rather than attending to diners. The upstairs "open air" section was fully covered so all of the nargile smoke just sort of hovers over everything. The kicker was when they added a mysterious "service fee" to our bill, which is both not stated anywhere on the menu, and totaled more than 30% of our actual bill. It's a shame; their original location is better, but I was so put off by this experience, I will no longer be a customer at any of their locations.

The food! The food! It was as much a feast for the eyes as for the tastebuds. The table was heaving with little pots containing all kinds of wondrous things. The standout dishes in my opinion were the falafel, the red pepper paste and the jams. They were very accommodating to me as a vegan, swapping the cheese plate for vine leaves and baba ganoush and preparing a dish of menemen without eggs. Bread and tea just kept coming and coming. All this for under £8 based on current prices and exchange rates. I will definitely be back!

I loved that place during my time in Istanbul and went more than once. The food is to die for and even without reservation the friendly stuff always found a place for us in less than 15 min even though it is a really full visited place. It’s really special in istanbul because it not only looks nice (like many restaurants in Istanbul) but the food is great and good quality too. The price-performance ratio is great. Can’t wait to be in instabil again to visit this place.

Our visit to Arada was memorable. The scenery and setting were very comfortable and homely. Traditional Lebanese. Arada provides you with comfort , friendly assistance and a wide range of culinary Lebanese cuisines. COVID-19 safety measures are very good. I highly recommend it.

We had one of our best breakfasts at Arada Cafe by far during our stay in Istanbul. The breakfast plates are amazing with lots of different and delicious mezze foods to taste. Most importantly, there was amazing service - we were served by an extremely friendly and helpful waitress called Hejer - I would recommend asking for her when you go!

Good place but I was cheated on there. Breakfast for 4 persons , orange juice and coffee, surprisingly, the receipt came with 585 TL. It was shocking to me but I am new to Istanbul and I had guests so I paid the full amount. After leaving, I had a look at their website and I was surprised that prices are not that high. Unfortunately, I had to leave Istanbul and I couldn't go back. I understand this is not uncommon in low standard restaurants in Istanbul but not is such high end place.

My friends and I went to this cafe upon the recommendation from another friend, and I was not disappointed. We went for their breakfast; you pay a certain amount, and whenever a platter finishes they are quick to bring you another to replace it. The staff were kind and prompt, and most importantly, the food was great. It is a Lebanese cafe, so the food offered was Arabic. My only objection was that it was a tad pricy for Turkish standards; TL 389/person is a bit expensive when my friends and I usually pay that amount for all four of us combined.

Arada is known to service good breakfast , but when we arrived at the café, we sat and opened the menu, we were shoked to see that the breakfast for 1 person is 389 lira , which is like 23$ , when i asked for an order for 1 persob they said no, it will come accordingly to the number of the people on the table ( we were 2 ) . When i tried to ask for something else but not breakfast they refused aggressively saying that it is only breakfast ! It was 12:00PM . We left the place at once . We felt exploited and vulnerable to a scam we did not expect . Hope everyone be careful !

I think go with the mezze as there is just so much deliciousness to choose from. Excellent falafel and so much more. We overordered because we were so hungry and because it all looked so good. But we couldn't resist. We returned a few days later and made the same mistake again. Truth be told, this is probably a mistake without a cure. They are generous with bread so you won't be left with food with nothing to mop it up with. Muslim restaurant so no alcohol.

Our Turkish host had recommended this location. Fancy and beautiful place, unfortunately with totally unprofessional service. Since the young waitress was unable to understand English, my wife and brother-in-law tried to communicate with her in poor Turkish. Nevertheless, the lady remained being quite arrogant. She offered a breakfast option, but it was the only one, no other option available. Then she put many small dishes simultaneously within 1 minute all on our table so that there was no space for an empty plate left. After that she disappeared for ever. Nice location but without culture!

Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
