We were brought here by a guide. It's a lokanta and serves delicious home style food. Our lunch at Ciya ended up being one of our best meals in Istanbul. We had about 6 different things. Definitely add this place to your list for Istanbul - I wish we had the chance to go back.

I was brought here by local guys and I enjoyed so much the food. Everything was typical and delicious. At a first glance the restaurant can be not that inviting but just walk in, choose your food at the counters and wait for a culinary experience. All the dishes look like prepared by expert hands. Highly recommended.

Though the names of the dishes are unfamiliar even for the locals, the taste is always promising. Prices may seem slightly higher but definetely you will not regret. I've been coming to this place for more than 8 years and I love the food here!

The menu of this eat place is a little bit different from the other Turkish restaurants. We enjoyed the food so much specially a cuisine made with sour cherry and kofte (Visnely Kofte I think!) which was unique and special for us.

This is a great, traditional restaurant which has to be tried in Istanbul! My favorites are meatballs with cherry, stuffed intestine, pistachio kebab and a plate from every kind of green that I find at salad bar. Definitely a great experience for the tradional cuisine...

I am a relative newcomer to Turkish cuisine. Ciya came as a revelation and has made me a convert. At Ciya, you view the available dishes and then tell your waiter which you want to order. It was a difficult choice. My party eventually sampled about ten dishes, each of which, from appetizer to dessert, was sensational. Go! You will... More

I lived years ago in Istanbul when this place was not known at all but for the expert foodies. I used to go every week. Scent has not been lost and I have to say that they even improve themselves. My surprise was to find three Ciya restaurants in the same street but what made me go crazy was the... More
