It might be considered expensive for Turkish standard. But it really is not so expensive considering the meat prices in Istanbul. Meat cost 2-3 time more than what we pay in the USA. I had a New York stake and a glass of cabaret, good service and convenient location for little less than $20 (70 YTL). Not bad at al!... More

Midpoint became a decent chain and this particular spot is taking advantage of its great location. The menu is well prepared, with a lot of choices. The prices are almost well balanced with the quality. The service is ok, with staff who stands like they are doing this job for hundred years. (Being a little down to earth will not... More

These places that try to be like the local Cheesecake Factory miss the point about staying true to the flavors that made the CF popular in the first place. Deserts are just mediocre and he ice creams leaves lots to be desired. Service is decent, though. 6/10

Service: average service. It took us a while to get the attention of a waiter to order the bill. In addition, when the waiter noticed that I didn't eat what I ordered he didn't say anything. He just cleared the table and didn't even ask if we wanted desert. Environment: nice place in a popular location. Food: I ordered the... More

World kitchen mixed with a lot of Turkish influence. Reasonable priced chain restaurant. Bit noisy and not enough space between tables. Ok place.

As we are staying at the nearby St Regis (a fantastic hotel by the way) I asked for a good place to sit and have coffee. The concierge recommended Midway- great spot for a coffee or a glass of wine and good for local people watching. All the trendy stores are nearby.

Going to Midpoint was difficult. The taxi driver didn't drop us off at the right restaurant, which wasn't a great start. But when we finally arrived, the staff and bar/restaurant made up for it. We were sitting in one of the many different rooms, but it still felt as one big restaurant, due to the big glass windows. The starter,... More

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
