Happy with the service. Food was pretty high quality, and the view was spectacular. Very happy with our visit, would recommend.

We've been to this place twice on our last visit to Istanbul, and five times in total in the past three years. We love the experience. Great panoramic views of the city, great food, the service is so much better than what it was previously. Perfect for couples or a friends get together. Thank you for adding so much to... More

Leb-i Derya is one of the countless rooftop restaurants in Istanbul that offer sweeping views on the Bosphorus and/or the Golden Horn. The view from the place is just staggering and I enjoy it every time I go there. Unfortunately, the food is not so staggering. It is OK, pricey by Turkish standards but nothing extraordinary. You can eat decent,... More

Have been for drinks at their sister restaurant atop Richmond Hotel but have to say much preferred this smaller branch. Fantastic food and service and view is amazing. As people have said before do not be put off by the entrance. Flight of stairs to a small lift, so if mobility is an issue then not much good for you.... More

I agree with everyone here that the entrance does the place no justice at all. If it wasn't for reading reviews on trip advisor I would never have contemplated entering... however food and service was fantastic. Had a very nice evening there and would thoroughly recommend. The place is quite small and very busy so we could not get window... More

A little tricky to find (go up stairs, take lift to the 6th floor, then some more stairs), but its worth it. Really nice food, stunning view and, while it is a little pricey, I would recommend it. Fabulous rooftop dining, a modern twist on Turkish food, and good service.

We went at about 11 one evening - the view up here was stunning! The restaurant opens the window sides so you get a great open air experience. I'd go back but order a beer - we didn't rate any of the 3 cocktails we had sadly. One was really watery, and the margarita tasted really basic, cheap tequila. Didn't... More

Discrete restaurant on the 8th floor rooftop, with stunning views of the Golden Horn, Sea of Marmara and the Bosporus. Despite one or two reviews suggesting that the quality of the food did not match, we found dinner to be excellent and reasonable value. The goats cheese & apple salad was good and the lamb shank delicious, with attentive and... More

Visited Leb-i-Derya whilst on a short break with my boyfriend. We had high expectations for this place due to reviews and pictures we had seen..We were very disappointed! first of all it was a mission to find! It was located down dark looking alleyway in a dodgy looking area, and the building didn't look like it would even have a... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
