This is the best restaurant in Istanbul. It is warm and cosy atmosphere and is not cold outside under the warm heaters. The waiters are amazing and vey alternative but do not hover of you. Hero is an excellent waiter and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and the best Turkish cuisine in Sultanhamet.. I even went... More

The waiter talked us into eating here, he offered us discount, which we did not receive. We ordered imam bayildi, which was just a very sad eggplant filled with only onion, no seasoning at all. Then chicken kebab and mixed kebab. The chicken was mediocre at best, the adana was not fresh but some kind of processed premade kebab. With... More

Although it was not very bad. But It was for sure not spectacular. I recommend to check on TripAdvisor for restaurants who are really good. The staff is very friendly though. But Turkish people say everything to get you inside. They promised life music, which of course never came .

It was proposed to us by locals and we don't regret it! Very nice people working here! Ask for the "bomb serving"

We stopped at Sirevi after going up and down streets looking for somewhere to have lunch - the temperature in Istanbul was rising and we needed beer and food! So glad we stopped here. We had the mixed meze which was delicious. Houmous, Babaganoush, Russian salad, shashuka, stuffed vine leaves, and a spicy chilli dip - served with the lightest... More

I've eaten here for the last three days, will continue to do so for the rest of my stay in Istanbul. The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and it has a very relaxed and welcome atmosphere. Would recommend!

Another wonderful restaurant in Istanbul! The food was excellent! We loved our waiter, Umran! We ate here the day after the coup in Istanbul so things were very quiet. There weren't a lot of people out and about. We really enjoyed the food!

This restaurant is the place to go in Istanbul. The waiters are very friendly attending to all our needs. The owner, Kadir, was most generous and attentive host. The food was excellent. My sister-in-law and I had a mixed kebab and the meat is first class. My partner had a chicken in a cream sauce and spinach which he thoroughly... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
