My first visit to Yekta was twenty years ago, but then I moved to the opposite side to the city. Looking for somewhere to eat after a concert we decided to see if it was still as good as we remembered. We arrived at ten thirty and the restaurant was buzzing with different groups; a business dinner, old friends catching... More

This restaruant is a gem. Part of the fun for me when dining is the crowd. There were four tables, including myself the night I dined here. The "Winter Salad" (inappropriatly named) contained juicy peeled Tomatoes, fresh sweet Walnuts, Cucumbers, a light shaving of feta, with Arugula and other greens (unfortunately shredded) with a light flavorful Vinagrette. The salad was... More

I was afraid because of I never saw people having dinner but I tried. It was nearby the hotel and I had good surprise, the food was delicious the price affordable. I sat outside and not too noisy. The ony thing to complain is that waiters try to push many courses...

We had a very nice evening meal here which was very quickly served. The decor is dark wood and there is a terrace but at 8:30 p.m. we were the only people there and as we passed by on other evenings there rarely seemed to be more than one or two tables occupied. Two locals told us that this restaurant... More

The food is excellent, and seems to be prepared by expert chifs. The old waiter is very nice guy and funny. The Kofte Kebap is excellent…you should try it.

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
