Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Every once in a while, you stumble upon a dining spot that leaves an indelible mark on your culinary journey. Port Sa'id in Tel Aviv is one such place. Strategically nestled beside the historic Great Synagogue, this eatery promises more than just a meal; it's...an experience. Port Sa'id's menu is an eclectic blend of dishes that pique curiosity at first glance. Each offering isn't just food, but a tale of flavors waiting to be unraveled. From the first bite to the last, it's evident that they've mastered the art of crafting dishes that not only intrigue but satiate. The term "savory" takes on a whole new meaning here. Service, often an underrated aspect of dining, shines bright at Port Sa'id. The wait staff is both attentive and amiable, adding to the overall delightful experience. Visiting on a bustling Thursday afternoon, I was half-expecting the challenge of securing a table. But to my surprise, amidst the lively crowd, there was still a cozy corner awaiting us.More

This is a hip but not pretentious place. Great helpful staff & excellent food. Excellent veggie and meat options: There can be lines but it moves quick. Really worth a visit.

This recommendation blew my mind! There's a DJ spinning vinyl, cool people watching, the food was unreal, huge portions overflowing with freshness, unique flavors, ...I wish this place existed in all the cool ciities in the world. The chef has a fancy restaurant nearby. At...night there are so many bats flying in the trees nearby. Girl next to me lives in Austria yet flew to Tel Aviv and her first stop was to eat here. I looked over and all the plates looked amazing! I never saw such a great looking chicken salad sandwich! My Jerusalem beans were drenched in flavors- served in a paper bag. Someone take me back here!More

Unbelievably terrible service. We were neglected immediately after being seated. We had to flag down an employee to order. We waited interminably for food while we watched others who arrived after us get multiple items. We never received everything we ordered. We had to get...someone’s attention again to ask if we were getting our final item. Multiple excuses. We even had to wait when we said just bring the check so we can leave. The food is good but I would never tolerate this service for even the best food in the world. DO NOT GO THEREMore

We arrived in time to be seated promptly but then we were ignored for 20 minutes. We finally flagged someone down to make them aware that 2 people were sitting at our table. Sometime after a manager came and took our order. All during this...time other couples were being sat and waited on all around us. We finally got drinks and waited longer to receive our food but it never came until we flagged someone down again. All along people that sat down after us were getting food. We finally received 2 things we ordered. We never received the third item we ordered nor were we offered an opportunity to get drinks again. We continued to sit there like rocks again until we flagged down another person to get our bill. We explained the disappointing experience to her and she offered us a free dessert which we declined. We were honestly embarrassed at that point that we were being treated the way we were treated. One waitress tried to say that the items we ordered took longer. We clearly saw the exact same food given to tables that ordered after us. We did not leave any tip and left feeling horrible. I really felt like we were discriminated upon because we were Americans. The manager was oblivious to everything and clearly incapable of the position of managing a restaurant.More

Perfect spot for us as we were wandering around Tel Aviv and wanted a casual but tasty/ creative spot. It’s off the Main Street so you can really relax in a quiet courtyard and enjoy the hip crowd and amazing fresh food.

I have been many times before and it never disappointed. I arrived at 6 (have an early flight and did not wish to queue) it took 55 mins for my order to be taken. The place was not packed. The servers just did not seem...to care, the guy beside me asked twice for his bread it never came, he then got the bill and left disappointed. I am not sure why the staff vibe went down so badly, my food was just okay, again a big surprise, normally I am absolutely delighted. Perhaps there was some major change recently?More

The place is very popular, but helpful staff will try their best to make you seated. The menu is a great concept of traditional Eastern dishes with new progressive approach. The warm and tasty bread is served in envelopes, water in wine bottles and etc....This small but smooth details turn the place into a special world with its unique atmosphereMore

Dishes are quite good in that bar/restaurant but you need to be patient ( i had to wait for 1h ... " It takes time "...). Some patrons smoke weed, it seems normal, well educated patrons have to support that ... Despite those disadvantages this...place si quite cool to meet friends and have good times.More

This place was recommended in just about every Tel Aviv guide I read, the place of the moment. Not really sure why. It’s one of a number of eateries within the stable of celeb chef Eyal Shani. Port Said faces the Great Synagogue & the...vast majority of tables are on a covered outdoor terrace. It’s a very casual affair, an array of street food style small plates, many served on squares of cardboard. Food was tasty enough, though some dishes lacked seasoning in my opinion & the bruschetta was as hard as concrete. Stand out dish for me was the beetroot carpaccio. It was packed to the rafters with a lively youthful, crowd. Staff were also young & some not particularly friendly, my server was sweet & kind, but the hostess was dismissive & not much bothered. Enjoyed the evening, but would have to conclude it’s rather over-hyped.More
