Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great selection of bakery items, cookies, and breads. Everything is a piece of art. Very fast service. Acceptable prices. Huge parking lot nearby (paid).

I was last here in 2019. I was excited to find this pretty little patisserie still operating and open nice and early following an early morning walk. But what a surprise. The pastries are still nice but the barrister ruined the experience. My husband ordered...two double espresso coffees. What he was given was one double espresso and one single. After insisting on this bring corrected the barrister’s behaviour became extreme - rude, hostile, aggressive. Thanks to other people in the café we got what we’d ordered and paid for but plenty more besides. The behaviour is so unfit for the hospitality industry.More

Visited this place as part of a walking food tour. Had the chocolate croissant and some bagel-like pastry with sesame seeds, Goes well with coffee. Good breakfast place if you're staying in Neve Tzedek. Highly recommend.

Dallal Bakery is a self-service bakery that primarily serves locals. It can get busy at times, so be prepared and know the following before you go: 1) There is no outdoor sign identifying it. Look at TripAdvisors write up to see photos of how it...looks. Your GPS will also help you find it. 2) There is a Hebrew menu by the entrance that lists items and prices. I did not see any English menu. All items are labeled in Hebrew. 3) You step inside and order at the counter. Everything ordered is for takeout only. They have some outside seating and picnic tables across the alleyway. Place and receive your order, then find a seat. 4) The person taking your order may speak a little English. If you have a translation app for your mobile phone, it might come in handy. 5) They generally are busy, particularly on Fridays before the sabbath. Look at what they have available, decide what you want, order and pay.More

We came for a coffee and cake and were surprised to discover they only serve in disposables. We don’t know if this is covid related, but it’s unfortunate as we did not come there for take-away. We had a really nice cheesecake which was delicious...and not too sweet and we also ordered two small pastries that were ok. The café au-lait was quite weak so if you like your coffee stronger you would need to ask for a double espresso. We didn’t feel any ambience sitting outside with our take away order. Not sure we will return, as there are plenty of other cafes and patisseries nowadays either in Neve Tzedek or close enough.More

Went with my friends for some coffee and food at the Dallal bakery. First of all there was no regulation regarding the waiting line, many people were just goin and trying to push ahead their turn, and the workers just didn’t care and let them...do that. Than when we were waiting for our coffee we noticed that already 2 people that were behind us in line, got their coffees before us. So than we just wanted to ask politely if possibly our receipt got lost or something… And than the woman with short hair who was making the coffee’s, reacted by screaming: ‘No you can’t ask, I am working’. So we were kind of in shock. Than tried to ask the cashier girl and than both of them started screaming at us. Think it was very rude, and unreasonable to react like that just for asking a question. This is not how a customer is supposed to be treated. Besides their food and coffee are not that amazing and they are quite expensive.More

A great place to grab coffee and sit for a while without the need to have a full-on breakfast. Good pastries sweet and salty, bread and very good coffee.

My morning stop for super fresh croissants. Always a colorful assortment of locals drinking their coffees, buying pastry, and reading, chatting or chilling.

All coffees are prepared by barristas - which is great. Traditional baked goods and cackles are amazing. Sandwiches and fresh juices - yes! No option for gluten-free or vegan though.

such a nice coffe and amazing deserts, everything is just pure happiness! I especially loved the cake with halva, which took me really by surprise because I usually (sorry) hate halva, but here it was just WOW haha! neighborhood is lovely, best thing to do...is to take a walk, pass by the shop, sit in for first round of delights and enjoy the atmosphere, get another round of sweets for later when you continue watching the sunset at the beach. <3More
