This is a Persian vegan restaurant on a small side street off Allenby. Most, but not all, of the dishes are Persian themed. It's small and casual with an open kitchen. The food was excellent and enough quantity that we had enough left over for...More

Spent last week on vacation in Tel Aviv. I had seen this place on American TV and it was by far my best meal in Isreal. I went for lunch and the complimentary appetizers were so abundant and sublime, I barely had room for the...More

Stopped in for a late night meal. The food was good and the place was hopping. Service was also good. It's not a fancy place. Everything is deliberately designed to emphasize environmental awareness. Come casual and enjoy.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere casual and welcoming, food was tasty and nutritious including the lentil appetizer and matzoh ball soup. Loved the green cocktail (the bar was happy to adapt it to reduce sugar content for me).

Great experience, food was a bit expensive but worth every shekel. High quality food and service. Kitchen looked clean and there was more than enough on my plate. I had the home made potatoes and a main dish of mushrooms. I could have shared this...More

We visited Zakaim by recommendation and was not disappointed. Great middle eastern food including good vegetarian dishes, and it is not an expensive place.

Ate dinner here with my daughter who is attending university in Israel. The restaurant is low keyed, eclectic decor, with excellent, caring waiter staff and delicious assortment of foods. We got two mushroom based dishes and roasted string beans. Amazing!!! They served freshly baked bread...More

Very eclectic and laid back vegan restaurant. I really had my doubts about this place and was unsure if I was going to be satisfied by the food. I was very pleasantly surprised as a non vegan by the quality and verity of food which...More

This is a Persian and vegan restaurant. Appetizers were great. The homemade bread and vegan shakshuka were fabulous. Definitely worth coming back here to experience more items from the menu.

You don't need to be vegan to eat here but if you are, you may shed tears of joy. The food is simply sensational, the atmosphere a delightful mix of Tel Aviv, Persia and Paris, the service friendly and attentive. Worth coming just for the...More

Opened by the two sisters and one brother of the Zakaim family in spring 2013. Offers fresh food inspired by the Iranian cousin and made from local and seasonal products. The restaurant, with the open kitchen and outdoors sitting, was built and designed almost entirely by the brothers themselves. It's an ecological space where all of the materials, dishes and furniture are secondhand. The menu updates frequently according to what the local market has to offer.
