Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Positives: Location on main Street. Designs and decorations. Luxury dining tables. Areas of Improvement: Expensive. It takes long time to serve the meal. Nosing birthday party song. Limited meal items. ***The fish meal was still cold from inside when served which my harm the customers.

Had dinner here last night with a few friends. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted warmly and escorted to a beautiful private table. The waiters were efficient and friendly. First we were served black and green olives with a minty kind of sambal to...go with our bread. We had a variety of different dishes for the whole table. The food was well presented and tasted even better. Lovely Italian and Spanish comfy food. The ambience in the restaurant was relaxing and quite elegant. Great food, great service ! I am already planning my next visit.More

It was with mixed feelings that I arrived in Avocado. My friend and I decided to try the restaurant despite the negative reviews we had read. We shared an avocado salad, had paella and chicken for the main course and finished our meal with tiramisu...and creme brûlée and coffee. It would have been the perfect meal had we got the double espresso and the cappuccino we ordered. We were told there was only Turkish coffee, which we went for. Strange for a Spanish - Italian restaurant not to serve espresso! The service was good: we were not bothered by waiters, but our waiter did show up promptly every time we pressed the buzzer on our table. The final touch: the check came with a red rose for each of us!More

The only good thing was the main course it was very good, we ordered pasta which they cost around 75 SAR each plate, however there were a few bad things like the service was really low, the entry food was not good at all, for...the same food there are many restaurants for less price, by the time we were ordering they didn't have like 4 out of 10 different plates of pasta so at the end I didn't eat what it was my first choice. The restaurant has a very nice ambient. in the menu they showed steaks, chicken, seafood, pasta, risotto and paella.More

After having spent a lot of my life in Riyadh I gave the Avocado restaurant a try. It is right on King Abdullah Road in the middle of everything. Ignore the "terrible service" review. The wait staff is always watching from afar and rush over...the instant you need something. There is no bell to summon the servers. I have never seen such attentive service, truly. This restaurant has Spanish and Italian fare. The guy seated next to me was having paella, a Greek salad, and sangria, non alcoholic of course. The good: 1. Seafood soup was homemade and amazing 2. Fresh cut olives served with bread as a starter. 3. Dessert was a chocolate molten lava round cake with vanilla ice cream. It was amazing. 4. Was offered free coffee with my dessert. Maybe because I snapped at the waiter supervisor, and he took it the wrong way, I sounded irritated but I really wasn't. Or maybe they give everyone free coffee. 5. Very quiet, relaxed ambiance, elegant setting. The bad: 1. I had the chicken porcine for main course. The waiter recommended it saying it was the most popular dish. The portion size was very, very small. It was fine, but nothing special. Just some potato slices, chicken breast, veggies and cream sauce. I could have made it at home really. 2. The surrounding eateries are not expensive. This place is very expensive for what you get. The prices are sky high. I wasn't really expecting this when I entered, but I went through with dinner here. 3. I don't know why at every "Italian restaurant" I have been to in KSA there is always plain, dry flat bread with no olive oil and no garlic, either garlic bread or crushed garlic with the bread. But at least they had some diced olives, both black and green, to put on the bread. That's at least something. In summary, i would go back and dine here again. I would order a different main course next time. The menu was interesting and varied. All and all this place is nice, but again it is quite expensive. The service, ambiance were excellent, the bathroom spotless. Dim lights made reading the menu hard. Maybe just as an American I expect larger portions. They seem to be trying very, very hard to justify the prices.More

My husband and I went to this place in the evening, we walked in, the waiter sited us and we were there for more than ten minutes and no one served us! Even we pressed the bottom that you have on the table to call...the waiter and we had no response. Then we saw a waiter coming and told him that please we want to order and he left!!! So we decided to leave the place. When we were leaving no one asked us what happened or why we are leaving. Terrible service indeed.More
