This was by far my favorite coffeeshop, I've literally spent dozens of hours there. It had it all; great coffee, amazing breakfast & crispy croissants, friendly staff & relatively at a very good pricetag. Sadly it closed toward the end of 2016. I hope it reopens soon. I really missed the places honestly.

Wanted a coffee mid afternoon but it was closed when we turned up. The cafe looked deserted. Hope it is just closed for extended holidays as CBTL is one of my favorite places for coffee worldwide.

I usually go there solo on Saturday or Sunday late afternoon for a soy decaf cappuccino and a small cigar. The staff are knowledgable with the offering of the place which is good but not all of them offer it with a smile; you wouldn't care that much though cause the coffee is very good and authentic. If you're not... More

1- espresso isn't consistent so most probably machine isn't regularly maintained 2- low stock of espresso cups so they had to pour it in glass cups which had broken edges 3- I asked the staff to exchange the broken glass cup & put it in a paper cup so he just poured it in a paper cup which is for... I love this place on Hamra street, I used to study there all the time or have afternoon coffee with friends. It's directly on the street amidst the Hamra street charm (this may be subjective). Their frozen coffees are amazing. they also serve salads, sandwiches, croissant, breads, eggs, and different other platters. Their selection of teas is also great. another... More

The staff is really friendly and willing to accommodate almost any request AND this is the only place in my Middle Eastern travels that I was able to find matcha lattes - WINNING! Other than that, the drinks certainly aren't spectacular, but they are decent. The free wifi is a big plus, but watch out for the steep prices.

this coffee shop is a nice meeting place for friends and even for casual business meetings. I love it more in the morning but it offers a nice ambiance all day.

Its an average cafe in the vibrant main street of Hamra. Most of the customers are expats or university students. I loved their iced tea with the sweet syrup. Its just average in the atmosphere.
