I have mixed feelings about Mayrig. First of all, we tried to walk in on a quiet early evening and were promptly turned away despite the totally empty restaurant as the waiter said they were fully booked. Although we asked for a quick table - as in we'll eat and leave in half an hour - he refused, which wasn't... More

You cannot leave Beirut without going to Mayrig Restaurant at least once. If you like Armenian cuisine, if you like Middle Eastern cuisine prepared the Armenian way, you have to rey this eatery. Great service. Fantastic food. Very reasonably priced.

We went in early January, and the food was acceptable though not extraordinary , without a great explanation as to the particularities of Armenian food... and disinterested service. We are told that Mayassa is better for Armenian food

I love Armenian food but this is definitely my favorite in Beirut. It's cozy in a refined way, with traditional decor and dim lighting that really adds to the atmosphere. And the food is just amazing. Ask for the salad sampler and don't miss the ice cream for dessert. A must try restaurant!

Mayrig is the best Armenian restaurant in Beirut, it serves typical Armenian cuisine, with the dessert specialty "the hot cheesy ma'amoul', friendly staff and nice seating areas, good to visit anytime with family and friends.

We went with friends who are expats living in Beirut. They swear by the place and take everyone who visits them here. It truly is remarkable setting and Armenian food. Has a charming courtyard garden with tables which makes for both a casual and romantic setting just off a busy street. Try everything if you can! We ordered a variety... More
