How nice this is - sitting outside, eating typical food and drinking a cool beer - and being almost the only tourist here under many many locals. I cannot really understand why some people found this place too expansive, in my opinion it is perfectly allright pricewise. Overall - go here to get the feel of the Asuncion tropic nights.... More

We had to sit at the bar but it wasn't a big deal. They are so busy and have a quick turnaround. We had Empanadas de Carne (beef), Caldo de Pescado (Seafood soup), Lomito a caballo (thin steak cooked with ham and cheese and fried in batter). They were all so good.

It's located right across from the Plaza de Los Heroes and Hacienda (Finance Ministry). Its one of the iconic food places in downtown (Lido & Bolsi). It's more casual than Bolsi, however. They serve casual Paraguayan food - empanadas, Milanesa, soPa Paraguaya (corn bread basically), budin (bread pudding) and Pulp soda - better version of Orangina. Orange juice and lemonade... More

Everyone knows Lido Bar. It is colorful and noisy. The food is good but not high cuisine. Sidewalk tables are available.

This is truly a landmark to "asunsenos"; located across the Panteón Nacional, is a place you should not miss. My classic is the "sandwhich de lomito", with a peach juice. Try it!

The restaurant is very well situated. It is in front of a paraguayan historic building, the pantheon. So the view is really nice. The soup is delicious, the place is known because of his fish soup (surubi soup). Their bread is awesome too, it is a little sweet. The pastel mandio(manioc empanada) is very very good too. The only negative... More

This place is fantastic....if you are into popular "local" cuisine set in a totally unpretentious environment. The double sided "diner" type bar is located in the centre of the restaurant and furniture and cooking equipment look as though they come from the 60's. Staff hustle your orders with bright smiles and yell orders back and forward to the kitchen. Specialties... More

We were recommended here by the hotel staff. It was good but hard to communicate with staff. The salad I ordered was very nice..

A real Paraguayan icon for traditional dishes, at affordable prices. A must try. Make sure to get the cassava Emapanadas, out of this world!

One of most traditional restaurants in Asunción, located in downtown in front of Panteón Nacional de los Héroes. My favorite meal are "caldo de surubi" (surubi soup) and the traditional empanadas, in Lido are normally bigger than anywhere else. Recomended in Asunción.

Thank Octavio S
