The venue is lovely but the menu was not very appetising to the eye and over priced for what you get, definitely room for improvement.

We went there for the traditional dance and songs show held around the pool between 6 and 8pm with a buffet dinner. We tried the famous kava drink and had a most relaxing and enjoyable time

We recently stayed at The Melanesian for a week & pretty much had dinner at the restaurant there every night. The food is delicious! The steak is some of the best I have ever had although was a bit hit & miss when it came to how it was cooked. The BBQ and cultural show is a must. We had... More

We enjoyed the BBQ and the show with kava tasting, lots of choices of meat, chicken and sausages with salads, breads and some deserts. Kava tasting and cultural show were fun and enjoyable. Good value and great staff and bar.

We visited on a week night and found the premises had obviously had recent renovations completed. Seating is adjacent to a swimming pool which give ambiance. BBQ style food as a help yourself. Good food and cultural performance by locals, Would recommend this place for a good night out.

We went to the Melanesian BBQ Feast for my birthday dinner. It was a really enjoyable night with local performers, beautiful buffet food and kava tasting.

We went on recommendation to the cultural dance and bbq night. The dancers were excellent ,great to see. The food was average with typical thin bbq steak and sausages and food was not nice and hot. Sweets were run of the mill. A disappointment from what we were told. Its sister hotel, Moorings had the best food of the two
