Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food was delicious. We had starters and mains all excellent. We were so full that we didn't have any room to sample a dessert... hopefully next time. Our server Toni was brilliant; very friendly, helpful and attentive- an asset to the restaurant

This serene, beautiful restaurant has delicious food drawn on local and international cuisines: fish, seafood, chicken, lamb, and pastas that are simultaneously exquisite and so good you want to devour it. The restaurant is surrounded by lush beauty, which made me want to sit back...and soak it in happily. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the chef came out to see how we enjoyed our meals.More

Delicious Asian and European food, served outside beside the pond. A tranquil oasis in bustling city. Would certainly return

Wonderful first rate service and extra corses thrown in by executive chef who made a point of meeting us. We had the nest meal of our entries visit here. The pork ribs melted off the one. Too differ for dessert which I am sure is...divine. Signature cocktails are excellent and award winning! Must go!More

I expected very high for this restaurant so I reserved it for our Chinese New Year eve dinner. But super disappointed. It is a beautiful restaurant in Belmont which is one of my favourite hotel chain. But the service in this restaurant is so terrible....First, they can’t find our booking, second, we were seated at 7 pm, but didn’t get the food until 9 pm. End up we lost all the mood for this dinner and the food is nothing special.More

Very nicely appointed top class restaurant just away from Yangon Downtown. Quiet, peaceful and very nicely appointed. Very good food and an eclectic wine list. This standard is a special treat for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was quite busy, mainly with...the hotel residents, so to be sure of a good table book ahead.More

This is a top restaurant in Yangon, part of the wo,nderful Belmond hotel. The cuisine is exquisite, refined yet close to local produce and tradition. We enjoyed great diners and breakfasts here. Really worthwhile, also for travellers who do not stay at the hotel. Thank...you K Reyes (the chef) and team for looking after us so well !More

We stayed at Belmond for multiple nights and found the place wonderful, 'home away from home'- a green cool oasis in a bustling hot city. The restaurant corroborated that impression: superb dining experience with personalised service, top hospitality, thanks to chef K Reyes and the...full team of Belmond !More

Since I was staying at this hotel, it was easy to eat here but recommended for anyone who is staying downtown Yangon to take a 10-15 minute taxi to this lovely residential area without tall buildings. Locally sourced, as many better restaurants are doing these...days, with Burmese and international touches. Perfect service. Great surroundings in 1920s colonial building with lush gardens. Charming.More

This is a wonderful, world-class restaurant. We had drinks at the very quaint Kipling Bar before dinner (also a part of the Governor’s Residence), and then dined outside on the restaurant’s veranda. Mr. Myo, the Private Dining Manager, took care of us at dinner. He...was wonderful. We ordered the local set menu, which comes with choices of which soup and which salad, and two main courses. The main courses also include options. Everything was A+. We had prawn, fish and chicken curries as our main courses (two each). The wine was excellent. The scenery while dinning was magnificent!More

We had a barbecue dinner, a Myanmar specialty buffet and an afternoon tea in this restaurant during our two days stay in Belmond Governor's Residence. The setting and the food quality are one of the best in Yangon. It's interesting there are peacocks walking beside...your table during the meal time.More

The Mandalay restaurant (and adjacent Kipling Bar) are fun spots to enjoy in their own right given their setting within the Belmont’s Governors Mansion. Although relatively expensive for Yangon (particularly for alcohol) they do have a fun ambiance and the a la carte restaurant certainly...delivers on choice, taste & presentation. As with the rest of the hotel, the service is first rate, all of which contributes to a fun experience.More

Restaurant is inside the hotel. We were lucky that we weren't sit outside as there are many mosquito near the pond. Food wise, it was just alright as I find the food a bit bland & nothing extraordinary. Was looking forward to a more different...Burmese food & not just roast chicken with rice. Wouldn't really recommend itMore
