Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been to most of the famous hotel buffets in Seoul. Four Seasons, La Seine, Shilla and so on. All of those places met the expected standards of a hotel buffet but none of them gave me the satisfaction as Chef's Palette. To be fair,...the number of food items they serve here and the number of stations they have are a bit lacking compared to the other hotel buffets. But they have all the necessary food menus that one would expect at a buffet(sushi, meats, fish, desserts) and the quality of these foods are through the roof. Hey let's face it, it's way better to eat somewhere that serves 1 good solid food than somewhere that serves 4 different types of lackluster dishes that are similar to each other. It's quality over quantity people. Let's talk about the wine now. They serve 3 glasses per person. Red, white, and sparkling. But they are a bit lenient on the number of servings. You can ask for a bit more for a 4th glass or you can even ask for a whole bottle. Honestly it's just a 20 dollar wine not really getting drunk on but hey I can not say no to free booze. Lastly, I've heard that the hotel is going under due to the Burning Sun scandal last year, and the pandemic. I hope Le Meridien and Chef's Palette gets through this hard time so that I may visit this wonderful place once again.More

Under Covid-19 pandemic (social distancing level 2 or above), most properties do not operate buffet. All breakfast services and evening service of Executive Lounge are offered as a fixed A la Carte menu. Most dishes are similar so we can be tired of the similar...menu. However, Chef's Palette by Le Meridien Seoul offers very unique and creative signature menu whose price is just USD 100 (including tens of course menu and 4 kinds of wine paring). Furthermore, Titanium Elite member can get the additional 10% discount. Every guests gets the Boarding Pass (1st class) and starts the Asian and European taste journy with wine. It is like "Favors of Journey" by Imago in Rome (Michelin 1 Star) with his Executive Chef Mr. Francesco Alpreda. But the journey of Le Meridien is more various because it includes Asian (Japanese and Chinese cusine) Along with the famous Top Notch Service of the property, the flavor journey is very creative, unique and super tasty. (It will be kept during social distancing level 2 and will be returned back to her famous buffet again when the level improves down to 1). Unlike other fixed A la Carte, it is very impressive and highly recommended.More

Set aside the expense (around KRW 120K, less for kids) and this is a very good eatery for buffet. Possibly the best buffet we've tried in Seoul (similar quality and approach as our old favorite buffet, at the Namsan Hilton). Not much variety in the...dishes, but virtually everything we tried (the 6 of us, for lunch) was quite tasty. A lot of things unusually good for Seoul fare. Service was attentive and polite. Nice spacious layout (both tables and food stations – you're not bumping into people, you're not having to overhear all the talk at the next table.) Ceilings are nearly 3 stories tall. If you wander around, you might be surprised how many tables are involved – must seat over 160 at least – but the place is smartly sectioned so you don't get the sense of a humongous eating hall. Minor but worth a mention: Unusually nice plates and bowls here (Steelite earthenware). Among a few downsides, we have a complaint re facilities, below. - Salads, soups: Tasty Caesar salad, nicely prepared asparagus, etc. Limited variety of greens and dressings, but good. Several kinds of tapas, all tasty. Pretty decent clam chowder (though ought to be thicker and chunkier, IMHO). - Breads and cheeses were again limited. But that was a very tasty baguette, and they put high-end olive oil there too, Full Moon. Cheeses were ok. - Excellent fresh squeezed juices, arrayed in separate glasses. The carrot juice was excellent -- wow good work. All the juices were tasty and this is one thing that definitely sets this place apart from other buffets. - Among main dishes: Steak carved from the cooked slab, nicely roasted lobster tail, steamed lobster claws, good fish, tasty rib cuts (galbi), all right lamb chops, unusually good fleshy king crab, decent mayonnaise shrimp. - Among the regional dishes (not many, true) the day we went (early Feb. 2019), all the ones we tried were pretty good or at least not bad. Squid ink risotto, English cottage pie were pretty good. Bouillabaisse was decent -- maybe try adding some more seafood on top of fish. - Note: Very little in the way of Asian regional dishes, at least on the day we went. A very small Korean cuisine station, only a few dishes (but good, e.g. the seasoned roe). This is not a place to go if you want to sample Korean, or Chinese, or Southeast Asian cuisine. Japanese: There's a sushi section, however, and it is good. - Desserts: Excellent. Once again not much variety but everything there was very good. (See photos of part of it.) They have their own house ice cream -- try the strawberry ice cream especially. Thanks, chef! Toppings include high-quality chocolates. (Photo) - Coffee station was odd: No latte or cappuccino. I guess you specially order that; we didn't bother. They should at least have room temperature cream/milk there. There's cold milk, that's all. - Complaint re facilities: In the men's restroom, there are just 2 toilet stalls. I hate to harp on something like this. But, well, you have probably over 160 guests chomping away; why would you limit the, uh, facilities in that way? I can't understand that. Guys stood in line. In short: Food, service and setting are all quite good. (A few minor issues.) We've tried a number of different hotel buffets in Seoul, but the only places we want to go to again soon (budget permitting . . .) are this place and Namsan Hilton.More

Had dinner and breakfast here, and I was delighted to see the wide variety of selection, from vegetables, seafood, steak and lamb. Desserts were not only sumptuous, they were beautifully prepared as well. Good wine and beverage selection.

If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no
further than urban Gangnam and the nearby
neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a
strictly business district with a plethora of
high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and
the steady streams of office workers bustling about.
But interlaced within are a string of shops,
restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment.
