We, I and my wife, were visiting Egypt in a group tour during October, 2016. We went to the Nawab Zamalek Indian Restaurant for buffet lunch and dinner. Considering the fact that there are hardly any restaurants in Cairo serving Indian cuisine, the food at this place was the best choice. The restaurant decor and seating arrangement is basic but... This has got to be the worst "Indian" food I have ever had. The food is carelessly prepared with little to zero spices, the only saving grace is the gentleman at the cashier is very polite and welcoming. If he would hire an authentic Indian chef this place would be great.

Well I understand finding authentic food in Egypt is not a piece of cake, however Nawab offers great Indian food. The place is easy to miss and you should look really carefully to find it. Inside the restaurants the decor is not good at all and they should really invest a bit on it. Otherwise food is great and you... More

we went around three times having missed it. Its half sunken in the ground and easy to miss, The interiors are bare and poorly kept. However the Indian food was good, being veg. it was very welcome.

I went to Nawab last week for dinner. The tandoori chicken and naan bread were delicious, but the appitizers were ok. The place is so shabby! What a pity. I would order delivery next time, but wouldn't want to eat there. The service was also so-so. Such a pity….

I used to eat at nawab several years ago it was a very good restaurant.today I had dinner there but I was not satisfied as I was in the past.the food is good but it's missing the charming taste of Indian spices. The servers and the owner were very polite and welcoming.prices are reasonable. My advice for the owner is... More

The food tasted really nice, especially the Pudina Gosht (Lamb cooked in spinach and mint). The manager was really friendly and he gave us all the explanation and recommendation we needed. The rest of the staff were just okay. The ambiance isn't that great but the food is definitely worth it, and its less expensive than the rest of the Indian... More

We went there for lunch at around 2pm and was the only guests, so we can't comment on how the ambience would be at a regular dining time. However, the environment can be improved, for exmaple, the bathroom is a bit dingy. The food itself is okay. We ordered samosa (3*), lamb roganjosh (lamb very tender, 4*), mixed veg (good... More
