Exquisite Vietnamese/charming courtyard setting. Vietnamese/Chinese fish and chips. Piquant, subtle. Traditional dishes excellent.

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Beijing. Both the original spot on Qianliang Hutong and the nearby Longfusi location are wonderful. Food is consistently delicious. Only bugbear is the continued use of plastic straws. This is so unnecessary and antiquated. Feels a little analogous...to smoking inside - previously ubiquitous, now almost unacceptable. So many restaurants and bars in Beijing now use either paper straws or, better still, no straws at all unless people ask for them. It would be great if Susu did this too.More
Good food, nice ambiance. It's a small restaurant and gets crowded easily, but the atmosphere is nice and food excellent. They have a nice selection of wine and mixed drinks.
The restaurant is located at the end of a small hutong alley and once you get in you feel the great atmosphere. They have tables inside and a short courtyard when the weather is nice. We came without a reservation and were lucky to only...wait a short time. But is was worth the wait and the walk! Food was authentic and very tasty, many dishes to pick from and all courses looked really nice (also when we looked at the food served at the other tables). Can only recommend this place - but remember to book a table in advance.More
The restaurant is hidden amongst the Hutongs. It's a favourite with expats who live in Beijing and you can see why. The setting and the service are both good but the food is excellent.
What a little gem of a place! Great food, great service. What a find in the middle of the Hutongs. We worth a visit. Thank you
This was on a list of restaurants recommended by our travel agency. We were getting kind of tired of Peking duck and standard Chinese food. This was a nice change! It’s a small quaint place and a bit hard to find but Google maps can...get you there. It is down at the end of an alley, hutong, and the door actually looks like it’s leading into a home. If you peek into the left you see there is a commercial type door to walk in. The food was great and very reasonably priced. They have a decent selection of wines by the glass which are also reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and they also have a courtyard in the center. Definitely call for reservations! I was confused, there was a restaurant nearby also called Susu. Make sure you get the right one. Address: Qiangliang Xixiang No.10, Dongcheng District, Beijing (near the National Art Museum, off Qianliang Hutong).More
This gem is tucked away in the Hutongs. It's slightly upscale, so perfect for a nice dinner out. It's very creative so something interesting to try if you're tired of Chinese food. Highly recommend getting the fish that's served over fennel (can be shared). It...can get busy in the evenings, so be sure to make a reservation.More
Food here is reasonable and delicious, love Vietnamese and a welcome find in Beijing! Salads...yum. Spring rolls, rice paper rolls and other delicious options. Great ambiance with an outdoor courtyard and rooftop terrace. Appealing dining room and a clean and hygienic option. You might need...help to find it!More
Last night we went to the China World location - there was a long dark strand of hair in our beef dish (we’re both blonde), the calamari was so chewy it was inedible— so while the fresh spring rolls are good - the whole experience...was an expensive and extremely disappointing occasion (so awful we ended up leaving the food and going to eat elsewhere). This was coupled with less than appetizing cocktails and indifferent service. A sad reflection on the Susu name and by far the worst meal we’ve had in BeijingMore
