In a county where a vegetarian meal often come with a surprise of bacon sprinkled over the dish, King's Joy is a safe and tasteful choice. The atmosphere is fantastic and alone worth a visit. The hutong courtyard is a unique experience to remember. The...More

This is a very exquisite restaurant near the Lama Temple and quite difficult to find. If you are a vegetarian in China and want to try something special, you should try this place. I arrived almost at closing time so the service was rushed, but...More

A beautiful, complex tasting menu with many fascinating dishes, all incredibly delicious, all completely vegetarian. Perfect service from our lovely waiter, Jackie, and even a little calligraphy swap with him at the end. Can't begin to cover how much I liked the food so I...More

As a happy meat eater, its always perplexing going to a Vegetarian restaurant. However this venue breaks all stereo-types. You walk along an elegantly lit footpath, into refined opulence, as a harpist and cellist are playing gently in the centre of the restaurant. The venue...More

As a committed omnivore I was astounded at the variety and and quality of the food at this restaurant. This is high end dining at its best - we took one of the cheaper set menus (it's not a cheap place) - and we left...More

From the moment we walked down the beautiful stone path covered in rolling fog leading to the front of the restaurant, the experience was absolutely perfect. The variety of vegetarian options is astonishing, and every detail was carefully considered and wonderfully handled. The menu is...More

We came to this restaurant arranged by the company I've been working for these past few days. I loved all the vegetarian food, everything was delicious. I also loved the entertainment of the harp and the cello. A beautiful memorable evening.

We were here with a small group and were in a private side room. I see in other reviews that service was too fast for some. We had a very leisurely dinner - several hours, and it was lovely. Service was excellent. Ambiance consistent with...More

I had not visited Beijing for 4+ years and an old friend brought me and a group of acquaintances here for dinner. The entranceway, atmosphere and decor are all outstanding. The bricks near the entrance show all the past VIP's who've dined here ....such as...More

I might be late for this. I thinks it is best to make a reservation. It is a popular place. We were a party of 4 and were able to get in without reservation, but otherwise it was packed for lunch
