Visited this cafe with friends whilst in Beijing after reading all the good reviews. Ordered one all day breakfast and three pizzas and chips from a very limited menu. We should have seen the warning signs earlier looking back as when Paula took our drinks...More

First I should admit that night's fries was a disaster due to my wrong option of thick potato fries. And now I change that. Our cafe is a very tiny one and does not have that much of options in the menu. There is only...More

A very strange experience. We wanted some plain western style food and saw Paula's rated as 5 out of 9000 places, with someone saying they had the best pizzas in Beijing, and good burgers. Wow! we thought. After being dropped off at the end of...More

Thank you for your long, vivid and full-of-detail description. Perhaps you can name it as "Adventure in Paula's Cafe". Again, as mentioned in the response to your friend's review, sorry for the fries. I am tired of telling that we are a very small cafe...More

Was there last week with familly and friends and we didn't get it. The room is quite tiny whth maybee room for 10 guests, very poorely decorated, prices as huge as the great wall. We took coffee and kids had a waffle/coke. The waffle took...More

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your time in our cafe. As can be seen in the photos, we are a small cafe and simply decorated, and not that typical kind of luxury ones. As for the waffle, they are made on order, and it...More

Freedom of choice. Everything looks lush and very nice people. I hope I will have the chance to go back as I promise. Great food and great value of money as well.

I found Paula's cafe on trip advisor and went along as I'm vegetarian and wanted something that wasn't fried as everything seemed to be. So glad I went, I got a simple but tasty little sandwich so good that I had 2nds. Then a scone...More

Thank you for your comment. I hope you had a wonderful trip in Xi'an. Now we serve French friands and I learnt that it's popular in Australia and New Zealand. It will be lively in this Hutong when spring comes. Wish I could see you...More

Homely cafe owned by a young woman dressed in an black and white housekeeper uniform (apron etc). It doesn't feel like a cafe at all, more like the living room of your best friend where you can enjoy hot chocolate and cakes together. My friend...More

A cafe with a very creative decoration which inmediately transports you to Europe. Food is quite good, not excellent, but i have to say it was the best pizza i had in Beijing. Service was super friendly and helpful, we were excently treated.

Mr Loong (hope the spelling is correct), was most friendly, help friends and I locate his place. It is a small shop in a lane. But the food was good. My local friends liked the pizzas. Since it was lunch time, we were the only...More

Our stay at Swisscow Cafe was a pleasure from the beginning to the end. The food and drinks were excellent and the cozy atmosphere (Swiss style decoration in midst of a traditional Hutong) in combination with the great hospitality of the owner definitely make the...More

This is a very recent cafe in Beijing, it rather looks like a little studio than a restaurant, which makes it harder to propose a very diversified menu. The menu is very simplified. However, the place is extremely clean, the owner is very friendly and...More
