First time back here and Hong Long in a few years. The food is so nice, the drinks are great. Really good value. Friendly staff. If you like curry and in Hong Kong you must come here. Get the lift at the back of the...building on the left hand side. If anyone tells you it is closed or closed down then don’t believe them. If you aren’t sure what to get then ask for a vegetable Makanwala, buttered nan or paratha and mango lassi.More

Just had a great lunch with an old friend at the Delhi club. James and his team do a wonderful job of looking after you. I have been coming here for over 10 years and never disappoints. Always have the Veg Samosa's and Pompers for...starters. Then for main course a Lamb Curry, a little spicy but mouth watering, accompanied by a Vegetable Curry, normally Navratan Korma or an Ali Gobi. Both are delicious. Washed down with a few beers. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.More

All restaurants in HK are struggling now. I remember when we had to wait to get into this restaurant, not many years ago. Today we were one of only two occupied tables for lunch, so it was quiet. The obscure location makes this a place...you need to work a bit to find, and with no more tourists and far fewer people staying in Chungking Mansion, that might explain the morbid atmosphere. Service and food however were fine, even if just a bit slow. We had mixed grill, veg curry, and cheese naan. Grill was plenty for two (or even three) people to share, sizzling, a bit salty but happily finished. Curry was sweet but went well with the super naan -- I could have finished off another basket of that, easily. Drinks apart from a few like Coke seem quite expensive, and there's no iced lemon tea -- I was tempted to try the trick of ordering hot tea and a side glass of ice -- but it didn't matter, we left full and unmolested by any crowds at all. This restaurant is a Kowloon institution and we hope it survives the current virus-related mess. Would I go back? Yes, sure.More

This restaurant is filthy with rats in the kitchen. As we were sitting there waiting for our food we saw them running around. We could barely eat and had to leave.

We eat here regularly when visiting HK, and enjoy it every time. This year the main visit was as a group of 12 for a special birthday celebration, obviously pre-booked. As usual we just let Jimmy decide what we’d have, and as always the food...was superb. The paneer starter is my favourite – and that’s from a meat lover. Thanks again to Jimmy and the team for a superb night, looking forward to the next visit.More

As per other reviews don't be put off by the outside, basic but good. Food is great and staff are good. The nan bread is freshly cooked in a tandoori oven and is so good when it comes out. Definitively recommend this.

Can I give 0 stars???? First of all there was a line. Not the restaurants fault. My buddy told me to wait because it is worth it. As a European waiting in line to eat food??? We seldomly do that. We waited exactly 65 mins....Now comes the real reason why this places gets the worst grade. Once we were seated we had to wait for 75 minutes to bring our order. 75 to START. I got up and left my buddy wait there for the rest of the order. He wanted to eat. My tummy actually had an awful time since it had waited 130 mins WITHOUT anything to ea. My tummy burned the extra fat I carry and therefore i didn't need any dinner. 0/5 stars. Maybe good for locals but definitely one of the worst dining experiences i ever had.More

This place is in Chungking mansions, location of the famous Chunking Express movie. It's a labyrinth of shops, stalls, super cheap guest houses and has a number of Indian restaurants. This one was recommended by Time Out and it was a bit hard to find....You have to go to Block 3 and go up in the lift. I brought guests from the UK and took them for this "Hong Kong experience". The place was full but we got a table after five minutes. It's basic in decor but the food was great. Naan breads were excellent. Prawns, chicken, kebabs, mushroom pilao - all almost like home made. Dal tarka was excellent as was an aubergine dish. Just avoid the samosas - these were the tiny frozen type which was a shame. Service was a bit slow but the wait was worth it. Three people, lots of food, just under seven hundred bucks with a couple of beers each.More

To access restaurant, we must enter via the "notorious" Chung King Mansions" itself an experience. The restaurant has an Indian decor. The food is authentic and price is affordable. Recommended!

We ate at this restaurant on our first night in Hong Kong as part of a tradition to find an Indian curry the first night in any city we visit. Firstly the restaurants address on here makes it a little difficult to find - it...is actually in Chungking mansions which is a tower block on Nathan Road. As you enter the building you may be put off as it’s like an inside market and you have to get a lift up the right part of the building to get to the restaurant- but there is a rep for the restaurant on the ground floor who will help you get up. On arrival on the flor where the restaurant is it doesn’t look like much and tbh we nearly turned back around but once in and settled we found a friendly place with great food. The day we arrived the cricket World Cup was on and India were playing - we watched the game with the family who run the restaurant whilst eating which made it a lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic- we had onion bhaji which was more like onion rings and chicken pakora for starter which was all huge and tasty and then a paneer tandoori and lamb curry for main with breads. All was very lovely and big portions. Pricing wise it was one of the most reasonable meals we had in HK. Very much recommendedMore

We arrived and waited a few minutes for our table. Before going up in the lift we asked if they were busy we were told no. When we were seated there was a group of 20+ ppl sitting in the restaurant. Plus other full tables....We ordered quickly and got our drinks straight away. The large group were getting louder and louder . After a few minutes our starters arrived. We thought the large group were enjoying themselves and the food was coming quickly so didn’t mind. 45 minutes later we asked about the food and was told we are next. 15 minutes later they started serving food to the large group ( we thought they had already eaten as they were enjoying plenty of drinks) We were then told 5 minutes . 10 minutes later part of my sons meal arrived .. 10 minutes more later I was now getting ready to walk out. Then the rest of the food arrived. By now my wife had a headache from the noise . We started eating the food and couldn’t stand it any longer. We asked for the bill. So 450 HK dollars for a headache and wasted food. The reason they got 1 star was for the apology from the manager.More

Found this restaurant on tripadvisor. There is no other way - you would never get here if you didn’t do your research in advance. This is a perfect example of how initial impressions can be deceiving. James the manager/head waiter is just excellent - makes...you feel welcome and treats you like a good friend - made to feel completely at home. Then comes the food, excellent selection, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! Some of the best Indian food I have tasted, and at wonderful prices! A breath of fresh air from the extortionate/disproportionately priced food of Hong Kong. Thank you Delhi Club! Ate here twice in our 4 night Hong Kong stay and we were most definitely not disappointed! Just a shame that you’re so far away from home otherwise we would be back every week!More

I am based in HK and a regular at the Delhi Club. A group of 19 friends were over from UK for the Rugby 7's. James very kindly arranged a long table which made for a great evening and great conversation. James greets guests like...a long lost family relative and looked after our group with a very friendly customer service. The food was excellent, tasty starters, wonderful main courses. Best butter chicken there is. Wrapped up with some nice cold beer. Made for an outstanding evening and all at a very reasonable price. Set us all in the mood for our next stop at Ned Kelly's. A must if you are a tourist in Hong Kong. The band starts at 9.30pm.More

Delicious Indian food that was full of flavour. Really quick service. Had veg samosas, onion bahji, sag aloo, veg Delhi special, garlic naan and pilau rice plus 2 drinks. Very reasonable prices and no service charge. It's located inside the Chunking mansions, walk straight on...the left hand side and lookout for the lifts. One towards the back has a sign for The Delhi club. It's block C on the 3rd floor.More
