The Starters - Tuna and Scallop were good. Ordered Steak Medium-Rare - received medium-well - FAIL Seafood dish bland and dry - FAIL Service started ok and went downhill from there. Were at RED the third and last time now.

Have frequented Red Bar and Restaurant a number of times primarily for entertaining business associates and friends transiting through Hong Kong. The IFC sits on top of the Hong Kong Airport MTR station and Red sits on the roof with views of Victoria Harbour from the outside bar area. Service is always warm and attentive within the restaurant and the... More

Located in the International Finance Center (Hong Kong's tallest building), the Red International Restaurant and Bar is the perfect mix of excellence and convenience. While on your way to the airport, check in and drop you bags at the Cathay Pacific counter on the ground level - you walk away with your boarding pass and without your luggage. Then make... More

Drinks are good and price is reasonable. They surve some food, but its more bar. Very crowded though. Nice point to enjoy lightning show at the evening.

This well placed bar and restaurant has some strange constraints. Like the other eateries in this location it is not allowed to serve food and drink outside - you have to queue, order and collect. You are given a vibrating frisbee that alerts you when your food is ready. You will be here to share the alfresco atmosphere with all... More

The bar is located on top of IFC Mall. You can even bring your drinks and food to enjoy the view towards Kowloon. The food which is served at the bar is mainly for the small and quick appetite. The drinks offered have a big variety. After a long shopping day or the start the party night the location is... More

Loved the food at the Red Bar, had the spices calamari and nachos, thinking they were snack size meals but to our surprise both dishes were meal size and we were full by the time we finished our bottle of wine, you cannot go past the beef nachos, absolutely delicious, eat the calamari while hot as it wasn't bad cold... Met a friend here for drinks. The view is lovely. The patio area had many rattan sofas that were strangely low to the ground and seemed to be lacking cushions a little odd. The wine was great but a little pricey. Seems to be a gathering place for the young and the restless looking for fun after a long day... More

I had dinner at this restaurant during a recent trip to Hong Kong. It has a lounge/bar feel to it, however for dinner we were seated inside which was relatively quieter compared to outside. Working for an investment bank, it was clear that the bar area is largely frequented by expats working in Hong Kong Financial Services. Food was average,... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
