Happy to have veggy. Place seems crowded enough with locals. Even the Buddhist monks. So that's a good sign. Food was tasty. Service good and efficient. Would definitely go again. It's really Chinese food in vegan form. So be prepared.

Ideal Chinese vegetarian cuisines in the heart of Hong Kong prime shopping and convention World Trade Center for friends and families anniversary get-together, instead of going all the way in a day's trip to Tai O for relishing the prime Buddhist vegetarian cuisines in Lantau Island's Big Buddha! Other than its traditional soya-based mock duck and mock seafood menu, try... More

Went to this place with a group of friends for dinner on Nov 20, as one of them is a strict vegetarian eater. I think the set menu is being ordered. Anyway, I am surprised that they have a lot of the dishes decorated meat-like, such as beancurds in shape of prawns. There is also fish in their menu, which... More

As a vegetarian for more than 15 years, I never fear dinning in Hong Kong. It was my first time at Kung Tak Lam. They over all vegetarian dishes. Meat eaters will not miss their food fare when they dine at Kung Tak Lam due to the wide range of dishes to choose from. They serve gluten, vegetarian meat or... More

My friend took me here for a thoroughly enjoyable Chinese vegetarian meal. I especially enjoyed the eggplant dish.

One of the best veggie restaurants I've visited for truly tasty cuisine. The mok goose was awesome! The staff lovely and very attentive. Even if you are not a veggie it's worth a visit for really nicely cooked Chinese food. The dumpling where very good. I could not fault a thing. We will be back again!

We know it was authentic because it was filled with Chinese families, including several groups who seemed to be gathered for a celebration with an older relative. It was delicious, subtly flavored Chinese food. Options included dishes intended to mimic meat or seafood, as well as vegetable dishes and tofu dishes. Wonderful mushrooms are featured in many dishes. LISTEN TO... More

Dim sum is not available after 4pm. We have to order regular dishes which do not have much of a choice. The food is less greasy than expected and came pretty quickly. Though our order of vegetable was not placed, it came within 10 min from ordering. Service is ok. The tofu dumpling is good and should try.

What an awesome all vegetarian restaurant! All of the food was great- appatizers, entrees and noodles. The service was also superb, and the view of Hong Kong island was seen through huge floor to ceiling windows. The price is a bit high but they are having a discount in 2016 because of the 27th anniversary.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
