Our group decided to treat ourselves to West Villa, as our companion heard good review about them. Service was good, and the environment was nice and quiet, however, food was mediocre at best, the food alternated between being too sweet and salty. Price is quite a bit higher than the average dim sum restaurants. I would not go back as... More

West Villa is located in the City Plaza shopping centre so a convenient place if you're staying in the nearby East Hotel. Classic Chinese cuisine - great Pork dishes and I particularly enjoyed the spicy beef with black bean and vegetables. A couple of the staff speak good English but on the whole not but packed with HK locals so... More

The yum cha/dim sum is very good and the BBQ pork is very delicious and tender. Great restaurant to bring family and friends. The Causeway Bay restaurant is spacious and the service is good. Also reasonably priced.

Walked to this restaurant for late lunch after landed in HK. This is within walking distance in Causeway Bay. Har Gao, Xiu Mai and the chicken legs are good. Also should try fish slice porridge. Good and prompt service

Seems they've just moved location to Lee Garden One, 5/F. Lovely ambience and delicious food! We had been eating a lot since we'd arrive in HK so the portions were just nice for 4 adults and 2 kids. As in all Chinese restaurants, there is a cover charge for the tea and peanuts of HK$16/person. We had the roast pork... More

Very good (and lively restaurant after 8pm), featuring traditional Chinese dishes. They are known for their pork, so one should definitely sample.

West Villa has been around for years in Causeway Bay. It is a popular restaurant among locals as it serves generally high standard Cantonese cuisine. It also offers a wide selection of dim sum during lunch time. The restaurant occupies the entire 5th floor of Lee Garden One. Nevertheless, reservation is highly recommended to avoid long wait. Based on many... More

Had dinner some times ago, this time we have lunch. The daily soup is so very delicious and MSG free. We have shrimp dumplings (Ha Gau), Siu Mai, deep-fried Bark-Fan -Yu (fish), steam beef ball, barbecue pork bun and almond bun.....all are very delicious. The service is good and the place is nice, overall a reliable place to have a... More

It is hard to get a table without booking but their food is one of the top in HK island. They serve local street style food with dim sum which makes their menu very interesting. They serve sponge cake with layers of salted egg york which is hard to find in any other restaurants. The BBQ pork bun is super... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
