Excellent choice for breakfast - gorgeous decor, soft music, stand-out service from all staff - manager made an effort to rotate the room and say good morning to all patrons. Highly recommend eggs Benedict.

There are a handful of great, upscale bars in Hong Kong but the Mo bar is one of the best. Top shelf DJ's, super friendly staff, cool events and a nice vibe.

This was just a quick stop for a rest after shopping "till we dropped" My daughter and I had cocktails only. She chose the Espresso Martini (pictured) and I had the "Kentucky Maid", made from bourbon, lime juice, honey syrup, fresh mint & cucumber water (I just checked their website; my memory ain't that good!). The cocktails were amazing and... More

I went to Hong Kong on business many times in 2016. I had several business meetings over coffee at the MO Bar which is located in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel. I also had one business lunch and two business breakfasts here. The ambience and service are very good. For the business lunch I had a large salad. For the... More

I was lucky enough to be gifted a voucher for the December themed tea set. It was a collaboration with L'Éclair de Génie that featured a variety of eclairs and the traditional English tea scones. I must say the service was wonderful. The staff really went out of there way to be helpful and friendly with out being overbearing. The... More

A nice place for lunch, relaxed atmosphere, the tables are well spaced out. Need to think about choice of dishes though. I choose the Hainan chicken rice, which is a dish I very much like, and usually enjoy in lesser surroundings. I had high expectations, but unfortunately the chicken was dry and very bland. The rest of the dish (soup,... More

Love the vibe and the food of this place. The small touch of asking your name at the host table even though we didn't make a reservation. We order Hainan chicken rice which was very tasty. Didn't expect we can eat authentic Chinese food at a hip luxury hotel restaraunt. The dish is 5 times more than what the street... More

Mo Bar is the opposite of the traditional style Clipper Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental, the sister property of the Mandarin group. Here the decor is contemporary. Like most high price establishments in Hong Kong, the food is average but the atmosphere is fantastic. Have a cup of tea and people watch. Avoid ordering food.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
