We have been in December in the Sha Tin 18 restaurant. Please reservate for Peking duck, because the preparation time is 70 minutes ! The restaurant is ok, the service is friendly. We tried an half Peking duck in 3 courses with the soup. Tasty, but for the person less and expansive. But there a same or better restaurants !

A half a duck over three courses is a reasonable value meal for 2 people at a restaurant that can easily get quite expensive. If you need more I would recommend the pork and beans. It is a pity the eggplant is no longer on the menu.

Nice views. Boring menu. Average quality. Average service. The restaurant benefits from lack of alternatives in vicinity of hotel. Unless it is essential to have close access to the business school it is simple to stay in Kowloon and Uber to the school especially if restaurant choices are important..

What distinguishes the duck served at Shatin 18 from other restaurants is the crispness of the duck skin and how little fat lies between the skin and meat. The restaurant recommends that the skin (sliced as a dish in itself) be dipped in sugar and that meat/skin pieces be paired with garlic purée. There is also the more familiar hoisin/sweet... More

A friend who has lived in HK for 10 years and is a gourmand told me that the Hyatt Regency Sha Tin (Sha Tin 18) had the best Peking Duck in Hong Kong. He was right. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The restaurant doesn't have a view per se, unless you consider the parking lot exciting :) but the service... More

The Peking duck is really tasty. The skin with sugar really melts at our tongues. We never tried this style of Peking duck and really worth to try. Other than the duck, the barbecue pork and goose liver are so unforgettable. I will be back for these 2 dishes again!

Very hard to get a booking now, but if you do manage to get one, always order the duck. It's the best Peking duck in town. The restaurant has a full dim sum menu too, so that is also a draw making this a very busy restaurant despite the top end prices.

I'm not here to review the food. It is excellent, there is no doubt. And there are plenty testaments to this right here. This is not my first visit but I haven't decided if it will be my last. I need to comment on the service. It starts from the reservation desk upfront. The system calling up reservations is awfully... More

I enjoyed my last Hyatt meal at Sha Tin 18. The whole dining experience is good overlooking the Saddle Hill with simple yet elegant celadon tableware and good Chinese food. It was great that when we reserved table, they asked us if we need to reserve their famous Traditional Peking because we really wanted to try it. For us three,... More
