This place is the business for Viet food in Hong Kong. If your group is large enough then you should definitely try everything on the menu. Having said that and if your a fan of fried chicken then just order up the VFC! Very very tasty. Along with everything else on the menu. Can't fault the place. The place is... More

Sit outside have a drink and wait for a table. Watch the busy area with all its people, taxi, scooters etc.... Go inside and enjoy some really really nice vietnamese food all mixed with loud music, drinks and people.

My husband and I went to ChomChom on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. We had already had dinner, so all we wanted was a drink. We came because the ambiance looked like a good time and the music was good. We were told that we had to order some food in order to sit at the bar.... More

The food was ok. Spicy tuna tacos were pretty good The mojito pitcher was watery but the environment made it worth it. You need to get there early (6pm) to ensure you get a table.

Four of us ate here on the night before the American election results came out. The place was packed even though it seemed quiet elsewhere. The food and service were very good. It's not cheap but it was excellent, great atmosphere too although not a place for an intimate meal probably.

the best meal we had in hong kong. we were drawn here by seeing an article in a travel book and we are so glad we made the trip. it is a busy little restaurant and a bit crammed so if you are looking for an intimate dinner go else where. we asked the waitress to suggest some options and... More

We walked past a cool little spot and noticed loads of people sat outside on beer crates. We met a local friend later in the afternoon who recommended to go and visit Chom Chom so we ear marked it for the next day. After Google mapping it we realised on arrival that the cool little spot from the day before... More

This place can get very crowded. We showed up at 10:30pm and all the tables were taken, so we ate at the bar. Food is very good and the beer selection is ok.

Ordered two cocktails while seated outside, didn't come because totally forgot our order. No apologies and served after 39 minutes by a grumpy waitress.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
