Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great lunch at Koh-I-Noor Indian restaurant in March 2019. Its hard to find as its upstairs over retail shops on Mody Road but the hunt is worth it. We had a very good lamb Briyanti curry and a tasty Chicken/ coconut curry....The Nan is great, skip the papadams, and the Reiti is great. Try the Kingfisher Beer. Short walk from the Shangrila and Penisular hotels. Compared to other food prices in Hong Kong, very reasonable. And very good.More

After traveling in Japan for 10 days, we arrived in Hong Kong wanting some comfort food, so I searched near our hotel and found Koh-i-Noor. While a little hard to find (it's on the second floor of a building), it was the perfect choice for...us. The food was awesome, as were the two servers, whom I assume are the owners. It's some of the best Indian food I've had.More

Nice Indian restaurant with the usual menu. Good to have meat off the bone if you prefer. Chose chicken korma and a lamb curry. Very nice aloo gobi and black dhal - good choice for vegetarians available. Kulfi was great for dessert. Nice to return...to this restaurant. Located via stairs or elevator opposite Hyatt Regency - for those walking around wondering how to get in.More

I went to Koh-I-Noor with my wife and parents. We eat a lot of Indian food around the world. We went after reading trip advisor and my dad had remembered eating here 15 years ago. The owner said it has been open for more than...30 years! Go through the medicine shop and up the stairs. Looks dodgy but it’s not. The restaurant was nice and the waiters welcomed us with a smile. Other tables were patroned by Indians which was a good sign. We had the mixed grill tandoori platter which was so nice. Then lamb korma and dal makhani which were also good. Top it off with garlic naan and raita, a few kingfishers and some Californian white wine for the ladies. Was very good overall however was a tiny bit more expensive than I had envisaged or am used to in Australia. Bill was around 900hkd. I would come back again though.More

This used to be my favorite Indian Restaurant in TST but It has been many many years since I last went as I seldom dine in the area. We went there 2 weeks ago and the place is still the same. Ordered sheesh kebab and...chicken tikka as starters and one lamb vindaloo with rice as main and we were already full as portion size was quite big. The food still tastes very good as before and the amount of spices was just right and full of flavors. The lady who served us (she was the only one working) was not too friendly and just did her job but it did not bother us. This is not a high class establishment and the decor has not changed a bit. It used to be much busier but maybe because it was a weekday? With a bottle of Robert Mondavi red wine, the bill came up to just under HKD900 for 3 persons which is still considered reasonable in TST area. If I will be in the same area again, I will definitely patronize again. TST has many Indian Restaurants particularly in Chung King mansion and the more high class Viceroy of India nearby but this particular restaurant has been around for many many years and it is definitely a safe bet if you are looking for Indian food.More

Went searching for some good Indian food. I learned a huge lesson...don’t judge a book by its cover. The restaurant is located in TST area of Hong Kong near the station. You have to walk through a medicine shop, up a dark and dirty stairwell,...and into the dimly lit restaurant. To be honest, as soon as I got there I almost left, as the person greeting me wasn’t really that friendly. But what I realized later was that she was just overwhelmed and the only one working as the hostess, waitress and bartender. I was seated quickly and ordered my food. It took quite about ten minutes to get my chicken biriyani, and the waitress forgot my hot water, but all was forgiven when I tasted the dish. Super flavorful and just right amount of spice. Restaurant was busy and filled with various nationalities, which is refreshing when you know how hard it is to actually locate the place, and some of the restaurant goers had been there before (based on the conversations they were having about what they had ordered last time). I would go back, but most likely with friends since portions were big. The only thing I did not necessarily like was the dimly lit restaurant, as it was just a bit too dim. Also, get that waitress some help. She was clearly overwhelmed and needed another pair of hands.More

Koh I Noor Indian restaurant is a hard to find little Indian restaurant on Mody Road near Nathan Rd in Kowloon HK. It’s a block away from the Holiday Inn Golden mile. You have to enter thru a tiny medicine shop on Mody and walk...up two flights of dimly light stairs to find the restaurant. But once inside it is very nice. The owner and his employees were very helpful and the food was great.More

This place had been recommended to me by a friend. It’s a good job that he had told me, as the approach is rather odd. You walk through a chemist’s shop, then up what looks like an apartment block staircase and past lots of electricity...meters. Once inside, however, it is a wonderful experience. Excellent food, excellent service, well priced, highly recommended.More
