This restaurant is part of the Harbour Grand Hotel in Kowloon. It’s very upmarket and attracts a lot of wealth Chinese people. We went there for dinner and, at the recommendation of the Maître d’, we tried on of the chef’s ‘modern’ tasting menu. It was interesting with some unusual twists on traditional food. For example, a sweet and sour... More

We are sitting at the window and can enjoy a panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour. We even can see the fishermen when they are catching the fish. It's really relaxing and enjoyable. Food are mainly dim sum and the quality are generally good. However, it is a bit over priced.

We stayed at the Grand Harbour and not being able to get a table at the Grill restaurant we gave this one a try. This has nice views over the harbour and a lovely setting to eat. We had a table early evening and it appeared we were the only non Asian people who were eating at the restaurant ;... More

We had just flown in from Bangkok. The four of us wanted a light dinner near closing time. This was perfect. We chose a few items and they were all good. The duck was excellent. Yes, pricey, but exactly want we wanted. The restaurant is "hidden" away - on the third floor.

Hidden gem is the Peking duck. It is very tasty and fresh. Better to reserve it before you will arrive. Another dishes of Roasted chicken that you must try, very crunchy the chicken skin.

If I remember correctly I did give Hoi Yat Heen a decent review before. This review is only on the food which I'd there with a friend yesterday. We ordered 7 dim sums to share. They looked way much better than they tasted. All of them were lukewarm at best. I just HATE lukewarm food. For me dim sums, especially... More

This is a hotel restaurant, part of the omnipresent Maxim chain in Hong Kong. Went there for dim sum and the restaurant is spacious and has a spectacular and unique view of the Hung Hom Bay (so one can see both Hong Kong island towards Quarry Bay and Kowloon towards the old airport). Their dim sum is a collection of... More

Food was generaly a pleasant surprise, if not a bit overpriced. The belly pork starter was to die for; good quality meat with a slither of fat and crispy crackling. Pancakes with curry sauce were light and moreish. The mains were less convincing. The chicken with lemon and almond looked like a pudding, and was far too lemony. The chicken... More

Hoi Yat Heen is an excellent Chinese Restaurant located in Harbour Grand Kowloon. The service is good and the food is of high quality. Modern cooking and presentation, but flavours are definitely very Asian. Highly recommend.
