Din tai fung have expanded their empire across the globe, this empire has been built on their reputation of xio long bao perfection. Im happy to report that this reputation is well founded. The dumplings are so delicate and flavour full with perfect dough. The start of the meal for me was actually the shrimp wanton dumplings in special spicy... More

We went here because we heard good things, and went back a day later it was so delicious! We had the dumplings, pork buns, the hot and spicy soup, spring rolls, and the fried rice - all fantastic. Never had to line up and wait, very prompt service. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I'd eat here everyday... More

We frequent Din Tai Fung since we were based in Singapore to get good comfort food in the form of dumplings, pork chops and fried rice. They also have a decent set of noodle dishes for the noodle lovers. The place is decent and always nice to come back to but not mind blowing. The Michelin star means long queues... More

Din Tai Fung is a very famous chain, well known for their Xiao long bao. I have been in several of them in Shanghai, Taipei and Hong Kong, quality of the food is amazing, that is the reason that normally you deal with the waiting list and being overpriced (compared with other local restaurants). After several years living and travelling... More

Amazing Dim Sun! You must go here it is very delicious! A Michelin star dim sum place- need I say more! Be warned you are only allowed to be at your table for an hour and a half! It's very popular and they turn tables quickly!

We came here because of the excellent TA reviews. Big mistake. Overpriced and tasteless food with poor service and an awful canteen like dining room.

I've been to more than a handful of Din Tai Fung restaurants in different cities and I am amazed with the consistent quality of the food and the prompt and efficient service. Besides the must have Xiao Long Bao, the spicy dumplings are quite good. Any of the sauted greens go well with all the meat and dumpings. Come early... More

Large impersonal restaurant serving the most delicious soup dumplings ever. There is a well deserved reason why Din Tai Fung restaurants are popping around the world: the food is consistently delicious. Service is quick and professional.

Thank newtella

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
