Excellent food and prices are very good. Had fried dumplings and the soft ones too. Place is small so they sat us at a booth with two other people. Interesting. Food was very tasty and fast service. Take out is also good. Ate there twice.

Went to try the dumplings freshly made on the spot. We had the pork and cabbage dumpling which was very good. Very local place fast service. Worth a try.

This little place serves up really good dumplings -- as good as any you'll find anywhere. A good spot for people watching as they go down the alley. We tried three different kinds of dumplings and all were very good, with very reasonable prices.

Good food, interesting choices, reasonable prices. Basic service, laminated tables and benches. Very tasty dumplings - loved the pork and cabbage and the vegetable. Shame I don't have time to try some of the other options.

I ate a bowl of chives and pork dumplings with noodles at Dumpling Yuan, the food is just average; it is just a bit better than a fast food restaurant.

This isn't a widely advertised place in terms of signage, and that adds to its brilliance. It is a down-to-earth eatery on Wellington Street and it serves great wonton soup at great prices. Share one of the few tables with the locals and enjoy a dish or two. It made for a good lunch spot.

Having eaten the day before in a Michelin one star rated dumpling restaurant this was quite the contrast - small, pokey and with laminated tables fast albeit brusque service lots of noise and lower prices - but the food was great and the experience much more like a local working person daily meal and less like fine dining. Just as... More

Pop in here for a no frills dumpling experience. It's a bustling little place especially at lunch but I love the jumbo Shanghai wontons! Big and juicy in peppery soup.

Authentic as in its own style, but it comes with generous variety of steamed and pan-fried option. Fillings are good and the fried wan ton is very good too.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
