The best chicken we have ever eaten! Need to give 24 hours notice. Nice ceremonial serving but the taste was out of this world. So succulent. Starters we also fantastic. Deep fried prawns in chilli sauce were out of this world. Very good wine list too. Friendly service.

Peking Garden received a Michelin star a few years back and has retained it since. By far one of my favorite places to eat in Hong Kong. If you're looking for something truly authentic and representative of true Chinese cuisine this would be it. They have Peking Duck which is a crispy roasted duck that is then skinned and filleted... Ok, so not the best I've had, but no complaints. Full on a Friday night, mix of locals and westerners, located in the luxury brand precinct, and easy to find in the basement of Alexandra House.

You must try their signature dishes if you come here. Delicious peking duck (450 HK) which is well worth it and we got 2 plates of duck (usually we only get one plate in canada). Their mandarin fish was also very good but it was on the spicy side. My husband isnt' a huge fan of spice, but he ate... More

Out with the office in a group of eight. Great service, fabulous food, really very good and very good value given the quality. The crispy duck was on a different level than any I have ever had before, a complete eye opener. This is Chinese food on a different level to anything I have previously experienced.

I've been visiting the Peking Garden for 10 years or more. It never lets you down. The service and food are exemplary. The location is accessible from the Central MTR Station, whilst other transport options like taxis and the tram are close at hand. The signature dishes are Peking Duck and Beggar Chicken. To add to the fun, a chef... More

Visited with some friends on a busy Thursday evening. We have been going here for many years and standards are still good and staff excellent. One innovation they have brought in is the sommelier and with this a better standard of wine available most at reasonable prices for Hong Kong. We all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and will... I first visited this restaurant 30 years ago and then again last year. Delighted to report nothing has changed and the duck remains superb. The restaurant is in the basement of Alexandra house, adjacent to the landmark. It is advisable to make a reservation as this is equally popular with Chinese as well as westerners.

Visited Peking Garden with foreign colleagues on the recommendation of my local Hong Kong counterpart. Centrally located, the restaurant offers all you'd hope for from a Hong Kong based Cihinese restaurant at a good price point. The wine list was very solid and service helpful. Would definitely teturn

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
