Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The bakery doesn't captivate me at Paper Stone Bakery but then I was captivated by the angelic white dirty bun that has been trending since April. The dirty bun or more commonly known as messy bun is a dusted with chocolate powder and there are...layers and layers of chocolate ganache which ooze out when you eat hence the name dirty bun as it is very messy to eat. The white dirty bun is a white chocolate version of the chocolate version. I thought it was going to be dead sweet because of the white chocolate but it was light filled with sweet cream in the middle which tasted like condensed milk. It was actually quite nice as the bun was soft and fluffy and the filling was more like cream instead of thick white chocolate paste. Unfortunately, the quality varies at different branches as the one at Popcorn tasted nasty.More

Paper Stone Bakery is a franchise of western style bakery shops found around Hong Kong including this bakery at the corner of Morrison Street and Des Voeux Road Central in Sheung Wan. Opening hours are 7.30am to 8.30pm (Mon - Sat) and 9am to 7pm...(Sundays). Here you will find a fairly typical range of western style breads and other bakery products. There is an open glassed in bakery so you can watch them preparing and making bread products throughout the day. Breads are individually wrapped in plastic, a bit wasteful but necessary at the moment because of the pandemic. I visited this Paper Stone Bakery recently and had a chocolate covered danish. It was very hard and chewy, difficult to bite through. After microwaving for 15 seconds, it softened and I was able to eat more leisurely. Otherwise, it tasted just fine. They also have coffee drinks available at this Paper Stone Bakery. The espresso is fine, not up there with what is served at the serious coffee shops on nearby Jervois Street. However, like the danish, it tasted fine, more than acceptable for a bakery. Note: This bakery offers delivery for those who prefer to not get out during the pandemic. They can send orders directly to you through deliveroo if you are staying in the area.More

Its in the space connecting two malls. It's certainly not possible to miss the aroma of freshly baked products while passing by it. The cannolis, the pancakes (with different jams) and the breads are all food.

I didnt expect they have such good bakery, I used to get my bread at Mandarin Oriental becoz of the flour they use but from now on I will go to Paper Stone instead. The Bauguette is so nice and they also hv sour dough...bread. (Cant compare with the one from San Francisco) but should not complaint since this is Hong Kong. Croissant is so fluffy and the apple muffin is also very good.More

Freshly baked bread and other pastries. I am sure that everyone has their favourites. I particularly like their sandwiches and their quiche.

...and the freshly prepared food is excellent too. Everything we tried was delicious and being German an French we are fussy when it comes to bread. Prices are reasonable and the coffee is good.

Paper Stone is conveniently located just across from the Western Market (the red-brick Tudor-style building). On the right hand side, there is a wide selection of bread (2 dozens at least), a loaf takes you from HKD20 to HKD30, so it's decently priced. At the...back of the store, you have the selection of cakes and pastries, plenty of it. You pick up your selection and pack it into thick plastic bags (paper bags would have been more appropriate), then you head for the cash desk. where you can pay with your Octopus card, but of course they accept notes and coins. The overall impression was positive. It's a small store but it feels clean, organized and efficient.More

Today we went for breakfast to Paper Stone Bakery, and we decided to take two buns. One was filled with fluffy milk and was delicious (but heavy), the cranberry bun was ok but very soft too. There was a decent choice of buns and sweets...for every taste, quality was good and service indifferent. Overall a nice place where you can grab a quick bite or satisfy your sweet cravingsMore

Like a cartoon character you are sucked into this place by the aromas wafting thru the air. On a busy road next to Western Market it is easy to find. Pick your poison as they have so many choices. You can even order bread with...the ingredients you want. That's a 1st!! Get off the team 100 meters away.More

"Through your Goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given and human hands have made. It will become for us the bread of life." Thank you Paper Stone Bakery for finally making one of the best bread in Hong Kong. Beetroot and...cranberry bread; Raisin, Kale and wholewheat; various cheeses bread, whole dark rye, matcha tea buns, and much, much more. Finally! someone who understands the seriousness and greatness of making bread. Bagels, muffins, and the lighter forms of white bread preferred in Asia. Please, I beg you, Paper Stone: Don't change a thing. You can also get hearty sandwiches, very good quality coffee as well as other hot drinks. Take to go or eat in situ. Slice enormous loaves to the thickness of your choice (they have a slicing machine!! :-) taste and take your mouthwatering goodness away. For all anti-carb yada-yada: Stay home. Resistance is Futile. Nevertheless, you'll surely find some very high fiber bread to meet your needs. They've got so many choices. Took some bread home to eat for breakfast. Bread is still wonderful the day after. I ate at the Yuen Long YoHo Mall.More

If you are looking for good quality bread, here is where to go. Good crust and wide selection. Their croissants, muffins and cheese twist are just great. The coffee not so good, but drinkable.
